“OK but better places to stay in Cala'n Bosch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

Rooms spacious and clean enough however some ants made their way in. Not really what I would expect for the star rating but adequate.

Location excellent for Marina and local beaches.

Animation team fantastic, couldn't fault, best I have come across very inclusive and children loved them.

Pool area small and a bit shabby good pool for kids though.

The big let down was the restaurant and food. Basically it was of a very low standard and little choice, dried out food due to heat lamps, poor ingredients and badly cooked, I saw mouldy fruit and the dessert section was disappointing. Couldn't compare to turquesa mar hotel we went to a couple of months before, or other similarly priced all-inclusives I have enjoyed in Spain. Queueing for drinks even soft drinks was ridiculous and ruined our enjoyment of the meals. Consequently we ate out a lot and found some nice places to eat at the Marina as some days we could not face the food in the restaurant.

“Relaxing end of season break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Our booking was transferred to the Paradise Club ten days before travel due to our original hotel closing early for the season.

The Paradise Club was scarcely occupied with very few children and all but a few of the Animacions team finished their contacts at the end of September.

We were allocated a 2 bed apartment (244 for 6 people) with a balcony overlooking the upper pool from which to enjoy leisurely breakfasts before lying poolside and making the most of the glorious weather and fee wi-fi. Our apartment was large enough for 3 and was clean but a little shabby. We had a few ants on arrival, however a quick spray of some UK bought knockdown saw them off for the fortnight.

The kitchen facilities were basic with limited storage, work surfaces and power points and you could not use 2 pans concurrently as the rings were too close together! A tin opener, spatula and scissors would have been beneficial and we bought some decent sized cups as those supplied are tiny.

The electricity to our apartment was activated by placing the keyfob into a slot on the wall – remove the fob and be instantly plunged into darkness! A Matalan card left in the slot allowed a light to be left on for returning to the apartment when dark.

As we stayed on a self-catering basis, our evenings were spent outside of the hotel so we are unable to give an appraisal of the food/entertainment/spa facilities.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and ensured a maintenance issue was addressed within 15 minutes of reporting.

The marina and its shops/restaurants are immediately over the road and, with numerous car hire shops, supermarkets and restaurants, prices were competitive. Not as well located for beach lovers however anybody hiring a car has a wide selection of beaches across the island (the fee quoted by other reviews for beach lounger and parasol hire evident in other resorts and officially signposted).

I would certainly return but perhaps early season.

Room Tip: Blocks B, C and D have sun-facing balconies overlooking upper pool.

“worst hotel i have ever stayed in ...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

this hotel should be closed for a years and cleaned ... it is over run with ants and the rooms are full of damp / mould making your clothes smell all week and giving you a sore throat the smell is so strong, went all inclusive never ate in hotel once, as the food was such a poor / low standard. the place is like pontins / butlins basic budget accom from the 90s. if you stay here and say its Fab!!! you must have very poor standards and have no regard for your children.
only good thing I could say was the location ... 5 mins from the lovely harbour, bars , shops etc ... the resort is great family place with no loud bars, and a great selection of places to eat. The beaches in the area are also really good too ... just please dont stay here ... it will spoil your holiday. !!!

Room Tip: all rooms smell ... we got moved 3 times in a week due to damp walls falling on our children

“Excellent Family Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

This hotel was brilliant, particuarly if you are a family with small children, the entertainment team work really hard, and the children seem to really love it. The hotel is set a bit back from the beach which is the only downside really as sometimes the pool area can be really overcrowded. The hotel is really clean apartments are spacious and the food is really good. Would go back again and recommend to anyone.

“Animacion team”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

The hotel was very comfortable although it was very quiet being at the end of the season. As a result the choice of food was reduced whilst we were staying there. The Animacions entertainment team were excellent, especially Florin, Andreu and Kirsty. They kept all of our party's children well entertained who were 4, 8 and 13. They also kept the adults well occupied but were chatty and friendly at the same time. I wish the team well for their next ventures.

Room Tip: Where the room is a studio, it is literally a studio with the sofa bed in the same room as the main...
