Stayed here with my family in late May and had a fantastic week as part of an all-inclusive package. Reception was staffed- helpfully- by staff from the island and not mainland Spaniards, meaning check-in was smooth and incredibly quick. During our stay we also requested an iron from reception, which they quickly arranged, as well as a replacement all inclusive band. The staff there could not have been better.
The room was of an average size but scrupulously clean, and the maids always tided up the room as well, which was a pleasant touch (they also knocked and waited before entering, a real Godsend). Being just two stories, the rooms are also very quiet, and the TV received a good selection of English-language channels. The balcony afforded nice views of the sea, but we were lucky in getting a sea-view room (it's worth asking at reception if they have any- we didn't pay any extra charge).
The restaurant was excellent. The food was varied and always of a high standard. As well as typically "English" dishes there were Spanish dishes and local food from the Balearics, which were slightly better. Also good was the sheer variety every night meaning we could try a huge selection and pick and choose whatever we liked. In the mornings, breakfast was always good and the freshly made omelettes are a real must- though ask for one without salt.
Lunch is either in the restaurant (a good, slightly smaller selection than dinner) or at the poolside bar, which also does drinks. The food there is mostly based on chips, which is fine but perhaps a little tiring over a sustained period of time. Facilities are good- the pool is nice and a good temperature, though the indoor pool was fairly small and a little bit of an ice bath and the sauna didn't work (which was no matter). Reception let you unlock and use the pool early if you ask politely. There was a kids club which seemed great for smaller children and which many guests raved about in conversation.
The only downside was the entertainment, which bar one night- a kind of circus act- was fairly dire. Finishing at dead on eleven (a Germanic team were in charge) it never failed to amuse in its sheer failure to entertain. The indoor space, where the bar is, looks like an airport terminal but is far, far too small. The bar is well stocked and the drinks are good, but avoid the sangria (straight from a machine), the spirits (local does not equal good) and speaking catalan to the staff ("i'm actually from portugal" replied one). Try heading down into the harbour for a night or two- the hotel is very close by. On a last note, it's very near everything and buses run regularly and cheaply to the nearest big town- worth a visit.
All in all however, a lovely hotel. Highly recommended.
