“Great Hotel And Location”

Hi went to this Hotel for the seond time Last September this time with friends, and was hoping that it hadn't changed from our last visit well don't want to get egg on your face do you lol. Hotel is still a great place, and the location you cant fault just off the swimming pool is a few steps down to a lovely sandy beach (so you aint to far away from the Bar lol ) and out the front of the hotel just a two minute walk you are at the Marina with its lovely bars and restaurants some pricey and some not so pricey so didn't mind having a few drinks out all though we were all inclusive. Their is also a bus stop which takes you to Citudella that is well worth a night out just ask the rep what night the markets stalls are on The food at the Hotel is very nice some days better than other days but you can always find something to eat, the only down side about the Hotel is that at Lunchtime you have to go back into the restaurant which i would rather just get a snack from the pool bar but they dont do them. the Hotel suits everyone from young couples to families to old folk. the entertainment really try hard don't think they was as good as last year. so to some up had a great time again and our friends really enjoyed it and we are looking forward to us all going again this year

Room Tip: just ask for a high floor and you can't go wrong either way because at the back you have sea vie...

Just back. Loved hotel tho could do with a bit of a spruce up in parts.Location Amazing! Beach one side marina the other.Lots of couples there when we holidayed and would say Binimar in Cala N Forcat better for families. Food was fine, always something to choose, very good a couple of days in our week.Lewis the rep was best we have come across anywhere, very friendly, helpfull and cheery. rooms are spotless.Large measures of spirits ,avoid Legends in marina beer poor.

Room Tip: Has to be 2nd floor up for great views.

Room Tip: higher rooms either side have great views

“Good 3 star hotel better than some 4 star”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

This was our seventh time at this hotel and the second time this year.
Bad points first:
This season they put a new entertainment team in and in our oppinion they must be the worst ,least professional anywhere in Europe. Really no idea and pathetic. They may possibly have a place in a club 18-30 but not a family hotel. Rusty can dance,Sarha can sing but she ignores most people unless she wants somthing. They make a lot of noise but not much else. The evening scetches are useless. Most people just ignore them, if you want a hotel with a good entertainmant programme I advise you to go elsewhare.
Late season there is a problem some days with flies and wasps in the restaurant and bar areas. This could be solved if they fitted insecticuters around the areas affected.
The decor is dated 70s but for what you pay good and very clean.
Good points:
Everything else. Really, for a 3 star hotel you will have to look a long time for anything that matches this one. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful.
The food is varied, breakfast fantastic, you can allways find somthing no matter how fussy you are and the hotel is spotless.
There are never any long ques for drinks at the bar but this may be different in peak season.
The hotel is at the side of a sandy safe cove and the pool areas are safe and clean with no shortage of sunbeds.
There is free internet Wi Fi access in the reception area but it is very slow.
I can't comment on peak season but early and late season we have allways found that the majority of people at this hotel are really pleasant and friendly. We have made some really good friends at this hotel over the years and often see them returning the same time of year again and again.
The bus runs from outside the hotel every 30min to Citudella but if you wan't to see the true Menorca I would strongly advise hire a car for the duration of your stay. The main roads are very good and there is lots to see that without a car you will miss.
God willing and health allowing we will be back 2012 May and October.
A big thank you to all the staff hope to see you all 2012.
We love Menorca and especially this hotel.

Room Tip: They have some rooms on the ground floor for the less able walkers.

“Holiday about what we expected, but food was worse”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

We stayed here from the 18th - 25th September. Overall, the holiday ranked low amongst the holidays we have had, but for families and in the height of summer I’m sure it has lots to offer.

Hotel: The thing we did like about this hotel (apart from location) was that it was clean. Maids changed towels every day, made beds and cleaned balcony every day. Staff are not too chatty, except reception and bar staff who are okay. The pool I would say would be too small for the size of the hotel mid-summer. At the time of year we went, there was always a sunbed to be had. The location within the resort is fantastic though, right next to the beach and harbour just across the road. I think our room was 503 - it had a lovely view over the sea and harbour. Ask for a sea/marina view when booking,

Drinks choice: For all inclusive, the choice of drinks was limited and the local spirits were like battery acid unfortunately. My husband liked the San Miguel though.

Food: Had a lovely chicken and rice salad from Marks and Spencer in a motorway service station on the way home and apart from our meal at The Aquarium restaurant, it was the best thing I ate all week! The breakfast choice was okay, and lunch was better than dinner, but dinner was really poor quality. The same salad every day (for lunch and dinner), other choices far more miss than hit but the freshly grilled meat or fish was usually the best choice. Desserts were appalling. Green jelly, blamanche and a few tiny sponge cakes - the same every night. Ate out three evenings (The Aquarium on the marina was first class). Some reviews on here say that it is like Pub Grub - it’s not even as good as pub grub! TIP: If you can’t have dairy, you can buy soya milk and keep it in the reception fridge.

Entertainments: Very basic, and a little cringey and amateur on an evening, Saying that the entertainments team did seem to be trying hard. The Spanish entertainer was a bit annoying when you didn’t want to join in he would call you boring and walk away. The female entertainer didn’t speak to us at all until she wanted something from us.

Weather: Cloudy most days until afternoon and two days of storms. Not sure if that was typical of Menorca at that time of year, but something to bear in mind,

Overall: Come here if you want a great location, lovely view from your room and plenty of choice of bars/restaurant away from the hotel but not if you are bothered about food/drink quality.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor - I would say floors 3 to 5, and overlooking the beach/marina.
