“Great value for money,”

After reading some reviews was keeping my fingers crossed that we experienced only the good side of the hotel. Thankfully our experience was very very good, the location is excellent with direct access to beach and only a minutes walk to the Marina and all the bars and restaurants, rooms were basic but had every thing you need and with regular maid service , front desk were so helpful when sorting our room out, only negative was the ant infestation on a couple of days , but a quick squirt and that was all sorted.

“very convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

stayed here for 2 weeks from 18th june 2011, self catering. Not a posh place but very clean, tidy and comfy, couldn't ask for better at the price. Brilliant location, half a dozen steps down from pool area and your on the beach, maybe 100yds or so and your at the harbour, along with enough restaurants, to be able to do one a day for a fortnight, and enough bars for a really GOOD time.

“very nice at the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

my wife and i visited the hotel on a self catering basis with our two sons and their partners for 11 days on the 13 sept. the hotel also does an all inclusive package but we do prefer to go out and about. the position could not be better. the large pool and area leads right down on to the beach.there were plenty of sun beds due to their strict no towels out early policy. why dont more places enforce this ?.the beach was nice and clean apart from the ignorant people who insist on stubbing out their cigarettes in the sand.as for the sea it was the warmest ive ever encountered in europe.very safe for kids if you have them as it is shallow for a long way.people on AI did say the food was very good but we do like to dine out.the main eating places are all situated around the marina which is very nice but it also is reflected in the prices.8 euro for a prawn coctail starter ouch !but if you go there ty the first eating place as you go down the ramp to the marina don quixote. it may not look as nice as some but the service and food can not be faulted, you can get a three course meal fron 10 euro and beer is 1 euro a pint.the rooms we had in the hotel were nice and clean the only downside was we were on the ground floor at the back and the only view we had was that of the service road, but as we did not spend much time in the room it did not matter too much. i think if you book with cosmos or monarch you nearly allways get the cheaper rooms that is why the holidays with them are in all better value. you could exchange rooms there for 25 euro but we were quite happy with ours as the sun did not get to them and made them cool without having to use the air con which i think dries you out.all in all i would say if you fancy going ther give it a go. we would not hesitate going back for a week if its comes up at a good price.6 of us had the private taxi transfer .well worth it.

“Good value hotel”

We stayed in the hotel towards the end of season (1st week of October), hotel was due to close a few days after we left! Location is fantastic, facing the beach and sea, all apartments have either terraces or balconies. They all get sun morning or afternoon/evening. The hotel is close to shops, cash machines, supermarkets, car hires. There is the harbour just also walking distance with several bars, restaurants available, will recommend Chaplins. The apartments are basic but clean, linens/towels are changed 3 times a week. Facilities are average: sun loungers, kid clubs, games, table tennis, beach volley, etc. The servic at the hotel like everywhwre we went on the island have been very professional, and attentive (unlike some other places in Spain where you can get atrocious service, Ibiza come to mind). the cost to eat out is relatively cheap, €30/40 for a 2 course meal with drinks.

This hotel is well suited for families. If you decide not to hire a car, I will suggest you try the bus, stop opposite the hotel and it is very reliable. You can get Ciudadela de Menorca for €3. Cuidadela is great for evening out, lots of tapas bars to choose from and great historical sites to visit too.

“A Lovely 3 Star Base for a Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

We visited Siesta Playa 17th September 2011 for 7 days.
I've read a few poor reviews of the Siesta Playa and our party were apprehensive about our 7 day holiday before leaving home. Whoever wrote those reviews must have been unlucky when they came here. We were chuffed to bits when we walked into our air conditioned studio on the first night. It was very clean, equipped with the basic essentials and very comfortable. All the staff had a smile on their face and nothing was too much for them. The pool and surrounding area was first class and the poolside bar , though small supplied everything you would want, and inexpensively priced. Ten yards from the pool was the beach. What more could the holiday maker want?
The resort of Cala'n Bosch is basically a picturesque marina, filled with yachts, and surrounded by a plethora of bars and restaurants. A meal for four adults with drinks cost us around £45. We mainly ate in La Fontana and the El Pato restaurants. We preferred La Fontana, though El Pato was also good. On an evening we visited Legends bar for the footie on TV and we'd also use Tom's Bar on the opposite side of the marina near the music / band stand.A pint of Amstel in Legends was 2Euros. A pint of the Estrella was between 3 and 4 Euros around the marina bars. All music in the bars ends at midnight, but don't believe some reviews that say the bars close, they don't. The bars will remain open if you want to stay for a drink. So don't be put off if the marina looks or sounds quiet, the bars are open and waiting for you.
Outside the Siesta Playa is a supermarket for all your self catering groceries.Buy the Spanish equivalent of the UK labels to save a few coppers. You can get your hot fresh bread here also.
If you want to see the island you can catch the bus to Ciutadella across the road.
In summary, if you are unsure about going to the Siesta Playa don't worry, it's a lovely place in a beautiful location. I don't think Cala'n Bosch is suitable for the 18-30 brigade but families and couples will find theplace ideal.
