“Good hotel would return!”

We stayed at this hotel through Thomas Cook at the beginning of February, we were a group of 4 adults and one infant. The rooms basic but comfortable and had everything you would need. They had the cot all ready and set up when we arrived. Depending on when you ate the food could be cold but only had this on a couple of occasions. There was a good choice and they did try to provide different food every meal time. The pools are very very very cold!! but we did stay in February so probably warmer in the summer. The hotel is very clean all areas were spotless at all times. The entertainment provided by Thomas Cook was good, they do their best! I would return to this Hotel.

This is a 100% Honest Review

Home early hours of today.
Hotel was spotlessly clean which impressed me.
Main Desk and Staff were very helpful, polite and hardworking.
Pools were lovely but too cold to use this time of year as its not piping hot, just pleasant temp.
The Food was OK/Average Buffet Style which can't be expected to be piping hot, but there is a microwave to heat food if desired.
There was a Chefs Variation every night but other food was pretty much the same.
The Salad was great, very fresh and a huge selection of Fresh Fruit available.
Drinks were not great, bit like paint stripper ( shorts ) and I couldn't bring myself to drink, lager was nice ( Amstel )
The OAP's that thought they owned the place( English/Scottish ) were so Rude, pushed in at coffee machine and dinner que and left me quite shocked as a 38 year old, of there discusting behaviour.
Just glad the private school I attended Tought me Manners !!!
But they were sure entertaining.
The beach which was nice was just a short walk of about 5-6 mins.
The Chipmunks were also about a 5 min walk away, you can buy monkey nuts to feed them at the local supermarket.
There isn't much to offer in this area as in things to do.
If you want a quiet holiday or a holiday with children, thats a safe place then it would be suitable but anything else more I would suggest visit another destination as the island is lacking which is quite sad as the crisis that started in 2008 has affected the this island in a bad way as building works have come to a halt in many areas as people don't have the funds to complete projects.
Dont do the trip to Corolajo( north) market, 16 euros if purchased from the hotel direct, it's a total rip off, got dumped there for 6-7 hours and there is nothing much there and market was a waste of time.
The one I recommend Is the jeep safari for 55 euros diect from hotel for a full 7 hours.
We toured most of the south and our host was Damien, was full of information & history about the island and took us to parts many others can't reach.
Book your trips via the hotel as these worked out the cheapest.
All in all a nice holiday, quiet but wanted to come home Thursday( arrived sat 4th feb )As wasn't enough for us to do.
I advise to hire a car as you can do more, approx 110 euros for week, can be done at the airport.
Just being 100% honest on everything.

“Wouldn't Go Back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This was my first visit to the Canary Islands and my first 'All Inclusive' holiday. Sadly, I have to say I won't be back here if I return to Caleta de Fuste. The beds were quite narrow and uncomfortable. I didnt mind the small size of the room but a small fridge to put in refreshments for during the night in a roasting hot room would have helped. The food was my main gripe. It was awful. Breakfast was ok - well I ended up sticking to toast but lunch and dinner was so bad that I ended up eating out mostly, which kind of ruined the purpose of an AI. One small pool and you'd be lucky to get a spot. Outside sitting area tiny. The bar inside was actually ok. The gym was made up of one very old cycling bike! The activities were ok - archery, target practice and games for the kids. The beach was close by as were the shops and restaurants. One big plus for the hotel were the cleaning staff who worked hard and with a smile. It was the food really that put me off this one, I spent over my budget on restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view of the sea very quiet. Heard complaints about rooms with a view to the pool.

“Winter Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

A bit late with review-Went on 06/01/2012-13/01/2012-As my wife and I had been to Caleta de Fuste before we knew our way around resort-Taxi price has went up in last 6 months.
Got good deal with Ryanair from Glasgow and booked hotel through hotels4u which is a Thomas Cook Company.
First impressions of was how friendly the staff were when booking in, only to be disappointed with our location of our room which was at the back of the hotel where no sun gets to room during winter months. Meal on first night was good with reasonable choice as we were all inclusive did not really need to go anywhere for food or drink, but sometimes need to get change of scenery.
Overall the food was good and well cooked you only get what you pay for and hotel was good value for money staff in restaurant were very pleasant, only gripe was room.
Pool does not get sun all day in winter months and entertainment was geared to children which was ok.
May go back but would like to try Barceló next time if we can afford it.

Room Tip: Try to get one overlooking the pool.
