“The "hit and miss" motel, in a great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

This apartment block is in the premium location on the Gold Coast. Our car stayed in the free undercover carpark most of the time.
So in terms of a family holiday, this is the area you want to be.
What this means is that if you can get a good room in any motel in this area you are going to have a great holiday. Unfortunately this motel has a lot of dud rooms. Like the first night of our stay we realised the AC did not work, so the next day we were moved to a better room. So that's why I call it the hit and miss motel.
We had a 3 night stay at $149 per night - awesome value. But if I had to pay say $199 per night then I would have thought it would be too much.
They "self rate" themselves as 4 star but I really think it is a 3 to 3.5 star at best. They are not luxury apartments, its old and daggy.
And trust me - a dud room has broken AC, rusty furniture, chipboard drawers that are falling apart, all the slides in the aluminum doors are worn.
AND I CAN CONFIRM THAT THE 2ND FLOOR HALLWAY STILL STINKS!!!!!!
The manager and receptionist were very helpful and the heated pool was excellent - see, its not all bad!

Room Tip: The number 2 rooms are probably the best choice on each floor for single room accomodation. Check th...

“Great location”

We go to the Broadbeach Pacific Resort several times a year and have done so for at least a decade. If you stay for at least five days, then a good deal is usually possible, provided it's not in the school holidays. The fully equipped units are spacious and most have good views of the ocean. We have found the management and staff to be most helpful.

One of the real attractions of Broadbeach Pacific is its location. It's close to the beach, the casino, countless restaurants, bars, clubs and Pacific Fair with all its shops is within easy walking distance. There are three units per floor with the 01 and 02 numbers being one bedroom while the 03s are two bedrooms. The 01 Units have a view over the Broadbeach Mall as well as Albert Avenue. Noise is not usually a problem.

Would recommend it as great place to stay.

Room Tip: The higher the Unit the better.

“Our little family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

The location was excellent. Cross the road and you hit the beach. Close to other popular suburbs like Surfers and Mermaid Waters. Our unit was a great size for our family of two adults and two young children. It was clean and had everything available from crockery in the kitchen to a washer and dryer! Reception staff were friendly, too, which can really make a good or bad stay. The secure undercover parking was fantastic and free! Overall we were very impressed as with hotels, you never are sure what you will get until you stay there. I would definitely recommend this for families or for those on a budget as restaurants and attractions were all within walking distance or public transport was also close by and convenient. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

Room Tip: I didn't ask for any room in particular. Our room was on the 14th floor and we didn't hear...

“Good central location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

The unit is a good size, big bathroom, roomy bedroom, lots of mirrors, comfortable bed. The kitchen was a good size with plenty of crockery. Our unit was older in style but clean. The bathroom could definitely have done with updating but was perfectly adequate. We were on the 14th floor with ocean views from both the bedroom and lounge balcony. We could not hear the other tenants at all so in that way it was peaceful and quiet but because the apartments back onto Oasis Square/Broadbeach Mall the late night people could be heard clearly. We were also woken every morning at 4am by the birdsong, quite lovely, but definitely annoying. We are light sleepers so this may not be a problem for everyone. The pool is heated. The bbq is great and we did use it.
The resort is wonderfully located and very close to shopping malls and restaurants. There is a great 2nd hand book store just down the road as well. Jupiters Casino is a 10 minute walk if you get onto the raised walkway at the Convention Centre or just take the Monorail at Oasis for $2 each. Pacific Fair shopping centre is a 15 min walk away.
Surfers Paradise is a 1 3/4 hour return walk or take the number 750 Seaworld bus straight into Surfers Main Street.
We had a lot of fun and were very happy with the accommodation and would stay again. The staff are very helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms on the road side would be quieter as they don't have windows backing onto the mall.
