We stayed here again for 10 nights in January 2012. We booked through goldcoastluxuryresorts.com.au and were fortunate enough to have the same awesome apartment on the 7th floor in the East Tower we had a few years earlier.

We booked 2 x two bedroom apartments. 1709 an 1810 on the 7th and 8th floors. We asked for them to be close to each other and were told they were close just on different floors !
they are dual key style apartments ie 2 apartments with a common door. (a studio and a one bedroom). I have stayed here before and the quality of the units varies significantly as they are privately owned but operated by Mantra. It is a hit or a miss as to the one you get.
1810- the one bedroom unit part - no cable tv, fan in lounge so noisy could not use and no airconditioning in the bedroom. The airconditioning unit in the lounge was old and only went down to 21 degrees so not sufficient to cool the lounge and bedroom.
1709- airconditioning in the bedrooms and lounge was good.

Both units suffered noise at night from the street as it is on the restaurant/nightclub strip. The three outer sides of the hotel have restaurants below them. The other side has the gold coast highway so it is not the quietest location if you are not looking onto the poolside.

The units were clean and the kitchen was well appointed in 1709 (we didnt use 1810 kitchen although noted there was no toaster)

The location is fantastic for access to restaurants and the beach.

three swiming pools- 2 outside are one for kiddies and the other for adults is heated - one indoor is heated. Great for families. 3 very well maintained BBQ's beside the pool- cleaning products supplied.

The on site amusement arcade they have is not worth the visit- very old games- quite a few out of order and some that just wouldnt work after we put money in.

The hotel communal ways are kept clean and very tidy and the staff were helpful and friendly.

We paid $120 a night through a deal for a 2 bedroom so cant complain on price. If I had not been there before and not seen the good rooms I probably wouldnt go back as there are nicer places in the area for the same full price . But for a family holiday at that price I cant complain. Would I go back ? probably would (for the right price)

Me and my partner stayed at Mantra Phoenician recently for a week. The hotel is in a great location, right near all the clubs, restaurants, supermarkets & beach. I wouldn't come back to this hotel as there are a lot of better options in Broadbeach that are more modern and more accommodating. Our apartment didn't get serviced the whole time we were there and then later finding out that they only service the apartments if you are staying 8 nights or more, we had to pay extra if we wanted more clean towels. We also found the carpet to be dirty and stains on the curtains; also the bathroom floor needed cleaning.

The staff were very nice and we did enjoy our stay, we also liked that the parking was complementary which was great as we had a hired car for our holiday.

i would like to start with the quick check in that we had... (a deposit of $200 is needed and its fair enough because its worth it). Very nice design from sculptures to pool to the indoor spa, sauna and pool !! The Most important is LOCATION, everything is just so close and buses are also easy !!

second, as an appartment, it was very good in space and more than enough. it was really nice one although when i knew I am on a low floor, i expected it to be noisy but the good thing is I SLEPT SO DEEP AND IT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. however, i would like to point out something, for a three night stayer, it would have been nice to have at lease a basic clean up or service, and extra towels at lease one complimentary and then for long stays pay 1.50 which is understandable... BUT AGAIN it was a great one and I love it !!

Staff are nice and i like the informative guide books in room.. It is helpful and entertaining !
