To begin with the obvious - Oceana is an apartment building - not a hotel. Thus, the reception is only open office hours (though there is an onsite manager if you arrive after 5:30 pm). You also need to bring your own toiletries etc.. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for three nights. While I believe the apartments are individually owned, they all have the same standard of furnishing - which is to say very good!
All the rooms - the bedroom, the living/dining room, the balcony, the kitchen and the bathroom - are all very large and spacious - and very well appointed.
The location is very good - right next to a patrolled beach, and only a fairly short stroll to the restaurants, shops etc of Broadbeach. There is also a set of shops just across the road, including a very nice cafe 'Lola's' (where you can great great breakfasts if you can't be bothered to make your own). We were on the 8th floor with a beautiful view of the ocean.
Both the bedroom and the living room have widescreen TVs (the one in the living room has quite a good selection of cable channels).
The tariff is very reasonable - especially outside school holiday periods - and we also got a discount as we (my wife anyway!) are repeat customers.
