Several problems arose during my stay, the shuttle bus from the hotel to the beach only ran up until 10th September but the hotel failed to let us/Expedia know this.
The hotel is at least a 25 bus ride from the beach and the buses are infrequent, when asking the receptionists about bus times they were not able to give us accurate times and failed to inform us that Mondays in Sicily are like Sundays in the UK and the buses only ran twice daily. Road leading up to the hotel is very badly lit meaning it's not safe to walk from bus stop to hotel after 7pm. No bars or restaurants nearby meaning a car hire is essential to stay in this hotel.
The receptionist didn't have good English so kept giving us incorrect information. Out of the 5 nights I stayed there the internet wasn't working for 2 of the nights. Wi fi code was incorrect so I had to use hotel computer rather than my laptop. Spa was a great experiemnce but again the 2 days it rained we were hotel bound and they didn't open the spa on a Monday (Hotel's equivalent of a Sunday) so there was literally nothing to do at the the hotel apart from sleep and eat. They had a bar but didn't inform us of this when we checked in. The spa had a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which were fantastic however each guest can only use for one hour and the cost is 13 euros.
Nearest beach San Vito is great and has lovely restaurants but not many bars nearby, the hotel was advertised as being near Trapani however Trapani is 1 hour away.
I'm 29 and was the youngest person at the hotel, the average age of the guests is 55 years old, this hotel is ideal for retired couples who speak Italian and are not planning on doing much travelling apart from by car. I wouldn't go back or reccomend this hotel to anyone.
