ll we wanted was a simple, clean room with facilities that worked. But this was obviously too much to ask. No aircon, ants coming out of the walls, lumpy bed. Truly awful place

The apartments were basic but clean and the staff came around to clean daily. The location was very central but the apartment we stayed in was very close to the entertainment area ( Lord Nelson pool bar) so night time was very noisy and the quality of the entertainment was poor. The beds were poor quality so it was difficult to sleep at night, and out terraced area was shared with other apartments but apart from those issues the location and cleanliness of the apartments were great and the staff were very friendly and the pool was great. The El Capaina tapas bar downstairs is a local spanish bar with great tapas and lovely atmosphere at night.

We read online reviews before we booked, so we knew the apartments were basic. But it never occurred to us that we wouldn't have air conditioning. We were on the ground floor and, after reading about break-ins, we didn't want to leave our windows/doors wide open.

We accept that cheap complexes make money from renting safes, TVs, etc, but were shocked to find we couldn't rent a fan. The receptionist (who was very pleasant and professional) had the decency to look embarrassed when I pointed out the reception area had an air conditioning unit!

The heat made us both ill. We were meant to stay Wed-Wed, but we used our holiday money to book flights home on the Saturday, cutting our holiday short by four days.

If you're looking for basic accommodation and don't mind staying in a sauna, you should still consider the following before you book... we found it difficult to sleep because of the noise from the Lord Nelson pub and we had an ant infestation in our kitchen wall sockets.

This complex isn't for people looking for a budget holiday; it's for chavs.

Went June 4th on the second night there we were broken into while in bed, the hotel didn't do anything about it, so we bought a bolt for the doors to secure them, the safe had to be taken off the wall as the key to it was in my purse that was stolen and the spare key didn't fit, a new safe was put on, I have just been informed by a friend that lives in Fuertevaetura that the apartment we stayed in as been broken into again and the safe was took off the wall with all the occupants money etc being took.
