Spent 5 days there in Jan2012. Little M, who runs the shop, is an angel. I recommend the 7-9pm session in the easy chair looking out over el pacifico. Bag of papas, cold bohemia clara and some of the angel's music on the hi-fidelity. A man could get used to that kind of life.

Upon our arrival at casa pan de miel, we called the airline to delay our trip home so we could stay more than the 2 days we had allotted. It's difficult to choose what to rave about first. The views, the breezes, the constant song of the surf, the warm enthusiastic helpfulness of Mariana the manager, the kindness of everyone from Ann the owner to Alex the night watchman. Then there's the delightful architecture that ensures great location, privacy, and lovely common areas. Then there's the food -- bountiful breakfasts, crepes for lunch, and the occasional 3 course dinner that is served in an unusually gracious manner. It's more like a lovely dinner party chez Ann than a restaurant meal. The guests were an international group -- which lent itself to great conversation in many languages. A close to perfect combination of privacy, conviviality, beauty and relaxation.

If you are looking for a peaceful place in an idyllic setting on the Pacific coast, this is it! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The dining and reception area under a huge circular thatched roof opens out to the terrace and infinity pool, and beyond that, the Pacific Ocean stretches out to the horizon. If you are lucky you will even spot a whale from the hotel terrace - we did! 187 steps lead down to great beaches where you can swim in the Ocean or sit in a long chair in the shade and enjoy a cool drink at one of the cafes on the beach. The hotel offers a really nice breakfast option and a French chef prepares a fabulous dinner a few times a week. Anne, the hotel owner, Mariana, the hotel manager and their friendly staff are lovely people who added to my enjoyment of this hotel.
