I stay in many expensive hotels around the world and always look forward to staying at the Asperion Hillside! The staff, the restaurant and the value for the money is second to none. I recommend without hesitation.

I had a conference at Surrey University in the summer and looked at the best hotel in Guildford through TripAdvisor.
Booked a big room at the Hillside sister hotel for the four of us (spouse and two children, aged 7) by phone.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and, upon arrival, they did their best to make us feel at home. Actually, I would describe staff service as personalized to each customer, as they will make it a point to treat you as a person, and not as a mere customer, asking you about your preferences for breakfast, helping you arrange trips, inquiring about your day, and nice things like that.
The room was very clean and spacious, and the food was great. The hotel has a small garden with a fish pond, and is situated in very quiet and clean surroundings. There are woods around, so it's great if you want to take a stroll in nature and enjoy some nice fresh air.
Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Hillside last week whilst visiting our daughter at university in Guildford. The room was lovely, looking out onto a beautiful colourful garden with a large Koi carp pond, with complimentary toiletries, water and chocolate giving it a personal touch. We dined one evening in the restaurant which had a real emphasis on using organic produce. The fillet steak was one of the best I have tasted in years, and sourced from a local butchers.

Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely return when we visit our daughter in the future.

I have been a guest at Hillside on and off for a few years, and still look forward to returning. As a business traveller I am not looking for a lively evening (but that is available in nearby Guildford), but a warm welcome, very comfortable accommodation, and food of the highest quality.
Most fellow guests appreciate the same, which haelps the friendly atmosphers, as do the staff who are excellent
