I recently visted Fuqing for business and stayed at the Fuqing Rongqiao Hotel. While a Chinese-owned property, I found the hotel to be acceptable by western standards (three stars).
While the hotel's restaurants, save for the Japanese restaurant, are very disappointing, and there is little worth savoring at the breakfast buffet, the rooms in the new tower were acceptable with strong internet connections and satellite television. Known through out the town, the hotel is clearly the finest property in the area, and sufficient for anyone who travels to Fuqing on business.
