We've just returned from a week in Perilolos at Marillia Village, Marillia village is a lovely small apartment village. Our studio room (number 11) was a good size, beds comfortable, separate settee/bed, fridge, safe etc, plenty of space for clothes, the shower wasn't the most powerful but that didn't bother us. All rooms have a nice terrace area, ours was secluded & out of the way of the pool (which suited us). Our room was cleaned every day without fail with fresh towels etc. The complex is fairly new but has some beautiful established palms planted areas. The staff were friendly, the pool is fairly small but adequate in any case we prefer the beach. If you, like us prefer a quiet relaxing beach you may prefer to walk further along the sea front to the area between Perivolos & Perrisa or turn right once you get to the sea front because some areas of Perivolos beach are not the relaxing beach they are made out to be, there are about three beach bars shortly after you turn left onto the sea front where they play loud rubbish banging music all day long and they are a posers paradise! They are also very expensive, 4 euros a beer 10 euros a cocktail it was intimidating walking by them, but worth it to get towards Perrisa. I felt sorry for the traditional restaurant owners who had to compete with the noise the noise of the bikes boy racers along the badly lit road on the sea front with no path. But fear not, these loud bars actually close at night around 8pm. If you walk along towards Perissa (much nicer end) you will find some far more reasonable priced bars not banging out loud music. Two together are Perissa Bay Blue Palace very reasonable price very nice staff with beach service. also Dorians bar in perissa was nice with good prices too, we found the best cocktais were at Pleasure in Perivolos, but only after 6pm when they're cheaper at 5 Euros. Some notable restaurants are, Accropolis, Aphrodite, Port Costelos, Charlinas Meteora all excellent food, to be fair I don't think there is a bad restaurant in Perivolos or Perissa. I can recommed the Water taxi to Kamari, the local buses are a cheap way around the Island (not always ontime though!!!). The rest of the island was very beautiful we just wish we'd been given the whole truth about the beach bars at Perivolos.
