My husband and I visited Silver Lake Resort over New Year’s Eve and it was incredible. We stayed in the hotel suite which had a balcony over the water. The room was clean, the kitchen well-stock and it provided the rustic ambiance that we were looking for. The sunrise from our balcony was spectacular with Mt. St. Helens making a glorious appearance through the pink clouds. The staff was friendly and welcoming and went well beyond what is expected to make our stay a pleasant one. We can’t wait to bring our family during the busy season where I envision families gathering to enjoy fishing, camping, boating, swimming, hiking, and sightseeing. But for those looking for a cozy getaway, winter is the best. For you naysayers who think it’s not a resort… a resort is defined as “a place to which people frequently or generally go for relaxation or pleasure, especially one providing rest and recreation facilities for vacationers”. If you’re looking for a spa, you’re in the wrong place. Not only will we be back, we will recommend this resort to our friends and family.
