I just returned and did not stay here this trip, but did last year, love the small town feel of this property, rooms are not the most deluxe, but can you say beachfront?

Very clean, restaurant on property has excellent food and bar on water is tough to beat!
great value for a secluded getaway, rental car available on property and i would recommend

Room Tip: there are a row of beachfront rooms with a patio.. i like this location the best

“A cool place to eat!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

My husband and I were exploring North Caicos on a Friday afternoon and were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. We were told that there was a restaurant in a resort hotel on the island. We stumbled across Pelican Beach Hotel first and decided to give it a try instead. There were signs about weekend events, but no hours listed. We asked about lunch service. The hotel host was extremely polite. She showed outside to a gazebo with an outdoor bar/kitchen. I believe that we may have been the only ones on the property at the time. The cook came and made everything fresh right in front of us. The food was simple, but delicious and the cost was minimal. (We had two different grouper dishes.) It took a little while for the food, but, since they basically opened the kitchen for us, it was completely understandable. Plus, how can you even worry about time when you are sitting under a gazebo, staring at that gorgeous water, while breezes gently stir up the smell of cooking fish and plantains? The two ladies that we met at the hotel were very hospitable and pleasant. I felt like we found a very special treasure.

“Home Away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

If you are looking for a real getaway visit Pelican Beach Hotel. A small family owned and operated hotel that truly makes me feel like I am more than a guest but more like an old friend. Whether it is lounging at the Barracuda Beach bar in the evening hearing stories from Clifford or sampling the many delicious dishes and home breads or jams prepared by Miss Susan who just maybe one of the best cook ever to their bubbly and always pleasant daughter Donna at reception, this place is truly a hidden Gem. I woke up early every morning just to get a chance to lay back in the hammock and listen to the ocean as I watched the sun rise. If you are looking for a true getaway from the stress of work and everyday life, Pelican Beach hotel and its calming and accommodating atmosphere is the place to be : )
I highly recommend that anyone who visits North Caicos should to get a rental and take a ride over to Middle Caicos to Mudjin Harbor, the view of the Ocean is just breath taking and one of the best I have ever seen.

“A Gem worth Traveling Too!”

This family run hotel is wonderful. Lovely rooms right on the beach & the best local food in the caribean. Clifford, Suzie and their daughter can make your stay great. Arrange for taxi's/ferry to and from the air port, car rental, fishing or snorkel trips, or a nice chaise lounge on the beach, with a book & and perfect drink.
I would reccomend the meal plan, good value and great food. But plan also to spend time at the "Baracuda Beach Bar" at the hotel for super food and drinks. If your looking for a laid back, nice accomidations, great food and friendly folks - THIS IS IT!!!!
We are planning to return for the holidays

Room Tip: rooms 1 thru 6 are beachfront

“What a wonderful place!”

After several days with the whole family at a resort in Provo, my son & I got away to the "real" TCI by taking the ferry to North Caicos, renting a local car, and staying at the Pelican Beach Hotel. It was great - small, very quiet, and comfortable. And not to forget the AMAZING food and wonderful hospitality! There's no TV, no noise at all, just the island breeze and the pretty bay right outside the rooms with an almost deserted beach to walk on. If you are looking to be entertained and have lots of "amenities", this may not be for you. However, if you just want to get away, meet some of the nicest people you've ever met, try some authentic island cooking, and explore the non-commercialized TCI, I HIGHLY recommend this little family-run hotel.
(And don't forget to ask about the ship-wreck way out on the reef!)

Room Tip: There are only a few rooms, but one that faces the beach is great.
