I stayed for 4 nights in the Hotel Allegra in Zuoz last month with my partner for a skiing holiday. We picked the hotel because we heard and read about the excellent cuisine. Upon arrival the owner of the hotel, Gilbert, welcomed us and assisted us with getting a ski pass and renting our material. After we showed some interest in the small village of Zuoz, he advised us a small afternoon walking trip in Zuoz while getting the ski pass and the ski's at the same time, efficiency and leisure combined!
The skiing area is not far away and a free shuttle bus to the slopes of Zuoz stops right in front of the hotel. Walking to the train station takes you about 5 minutes from where you can get the train to the bigger skiing areas of Corviglia and Corvatsch. Being a little bit away from the hassle of the other more crowded villages was nice.
Our room had a very well equipped kitchen with fridge. The more was spacious and was very clean!

There are two sections within the restaurant, one more Italian orientated and one french cuisine. We tried the Italian, and I can just say, DELICIOUS :-)! After a day of skiing, this is just the best you can get. The warm service of the staff and his wife Jole makes the experience even better. It's great value for money but don't expect the fancy and "unnecessary" treats of St. Moritz, this is real and honoust.
Already looking forward of going there next time.
