At the last minute, I switched my booking from the Best Western Riviera to this Inn because they had a promotion. I'm not sure I did the right thing. We had two double rooms booked for our last night before a 6 a.m. flight (after our cruise).
We arrived about noon and I was initially pleased that they were going to let us check in early. It was downhill from there. My 75 y.o. mother in law was with us for a few hours after the cruise (she had a 8 pm flight out). Before we could even get the luggage in the room they were harrassing us for having five people instead of four. We emphatically explained (over and over again) that she would be leaving at dinnertime for her flight that she was absolutely NOT sleeping in the hotel. They would have none of it, insisted she can only be in the hotel lobby for 15 minutes and HAD TO GO! It was incredible. This meant shuffling our elderly relative off to the airport six hours early! We felt terrible about it.
On to the rooms -- all we can say is that they are clean and a large size. Our stay was in November and it wasn't actually cold outside, but the hotel had general heating on for every room, even though we didn't need it and complained about it. NO WAY too cool the rooms down. If you leave the patio door open, you get road noise and feel unsafe, but if you leave it closed the room was 80 degrees. You have no real control of temperature in your room and it made it difficult to sleep.
Bathroom was renovated and clean and there was a kitchenette but the overall room was depressing.
WiFi is free. You have to get a code from the front desk and it only lasts for five hours. Then you have to go get another code.
We did not have any breakfast as we departed at 4 a.m. for our 6 a.m. flight.
Shuttle service (third party) is VERY expensive -- given the hotel is 3-4 miles from the airport. Prices are 7.50 EUR per person, or 15.00 EUR for a single, or 12.50 EUR per person for off hours. They were 'kind' enough to give us 10 EUR per person for our 4 a.m. ride (40 EUR = about $60 USD for literally a five minute transfer). Taxis are even more money and they tell you they aren't reliable...
Neighborhood is so so and nothing really around there. We did walk to lunch and it was okay. There is a 'mini mart' for soda, snacks, and sandwiches nearby.
Hotel Club Isola Sacra is a couple of doors down, fwiw.
We were disappointed in general, it made for a depressing last night in Italy. Would definitely choose somewhere else in the future.
