“A typical overpriced airport hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

Picture this, we arrived at midnight at the hotel due to a delayed flight. When we wanted to check in we were told that we need to present the reservation number, because she couldnt find us in the computer system despite the fact that we are for several years HHonors members... The other wise nice receptionist didn't offer any alternative. Unfortunately the battery of my mobile was dead, so I couldn't retrieve my booking confirmation. I had to wait until the phone was slightly recharged...
Once arrived in the room, we noticed a full bin from the precious. Occupier, as well as a hair in the bed. The main light was not working either.
We were told at checking about 1am that breakfast will be served in the Excutive Lounge in the morning until 10:30 , when we arrived there we found the does closed chut with a note pointing us to the main breakfast restaurant.
Overall, I think if you can avoid this place you should do it!!!

Dear Guest,
I would like to thank you for posting your comments about our hotel and your recent stay. Please accept my sincere apologies for the issue regarding the reservation and the inconvenience this might have caused. Additionally, I have shared your comments regarding the room cleanliness and maintenance with the Executive Housekeeper for her immediate action. It is our aim to provide only the highest levels of service and accommodation and I am terribly sorry we have fallen short of that goal on this occasion. Rest assured that I will personally follow up with my team on the issues you reported.
I really hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you better and look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.
Again, thank you for your valued feedback.

“Great location, basic hotel”

The great location makes this hotel very convenient for early morning flights. The hotel was a little dated and the rooms basic, however it was fine for a nights stay.

“Decent hotel, ok prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

The staff was friendly enough, and it is convenient for a quick overnight stay if you need to be close to the airport. The room was relatively clean but small. Food was just ok. Has a free shuttle to the airport, which is a plus.

“Makes sense if you have an early flight”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

A night at the Airport Hilton is much less stressful than a pre-dawn dash from the city. You can take a leisurely train journey from Terminii the previous afternoon (or a cab, which for two people isn't that much more), get an early night and wake up refreshed to either walk via the covered walkway into the airport from the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes, or hop on the hotel shuttle bus, which is even easier.

From the accommodation perspective, it's the best on offer at Rome airport - a decent 4 star property. Don't have visions of lazing beside the pool in the sun for the afternoon. The pool is indoors and they have a weird rule of you're either indoors or outdoors, no wandering back and forth. There are only two sun lounge chairs on the small tiled area outside. A resort, it ain't ! However the gym's OK so an afternoon in there working up a slather to make you're tired enough to retire early is a good idea.

The food and service in the restaurant are nothing to write home about and if you're bored, it's probably an idea to get both exercise and sustenance by walking to the airport via the covered walkway, which takes about 10 minutes, and subjecting yourself to the foodhall which is run by the ubiquitous AutoGrill and offers the same sort of food as the autostrada ones. Cheaper than the hotel.

Absolutely no aircraft noise inside the room.

“Excellent Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

people found this review helpful

We stayed here for two nights due to its location to the airport. We were flying mid morning and did not want to fight traffic. Upon checkin we were awarded an upgrade to an executive suite at an extra cost. The room was large but they are located on each floor right next to the elevator corridor. If anybody applies for an upgrade ask for the slightly cheaper executive room not the suite as i believe they are located on the executive floor which is the fifth floor. The executive lounge comes with executive rooms which was great. After touring Rome it was great to return to the lounge for free food and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). Our suite was comfortable but the laminate floor and furnature need a little care. The free shuttle to Rome was great but be carefull on the return shuttle to the hotel, the bus only carries about 50 people. We returned on the 7pm shuttle both nights and it felt like trying to get onto a Tokyo subway during rush hour. When the doors open to load on the bus it seems panic sets in and everybody starts pushing. Just be warned. A taxi would be €40. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Apply for executive room upgrade, executive lounge with free drinks and food is great.
