We stayed here for a fortnight in June. The location is beautiful and dramatic with breathtaking views of the Castle, Lake, Alps and Forests.

There were ample free car parking spaces at the hotel, which made the task of taking our luggage into our room very easy. In fact in the "Clara" building we were pleased to use the lift to take our suitcases up to the room.

The room we stayed in was large, extremely clean with furnishings of the highest quality. The room had a private balcony (apparently they all do) with seating and table. The bathroom was clean and very luxurious.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is located in the other hotel building, only a few footsteps away. Included in the price of the room the breakfast is a mix of traditional German foods and modern healthy cereals. It is a buffet with tableservice for drinks etc. Perfect food combinations to set visitors up for the days activities.

Within walking distance are forests, the village of Heiligenberg and the castle. By car the towns of Uberlingen, Konstance, Salem etc are all excellent places to visit and hold many tourist attractions and chances to take in the local culture.

We ate in the hotel restaurant three times during our stay. The food is excellent and cooked to very high standards. On one evening we were able to eat our meal on the terrace outside the restaurant which was fantastic! The staff here are efficient with their service and we felt completely looked after each time we ate at the hotel.

All in all this is a brilliant hotel that is located in a very beautiful part of Germany. For a family run hotel it certainly must be among the best and we are already planning our next stay!

We highly suggest staying here if you are visiting lake konstance and the surrounding areas.
