Once more at this venue, been here fairly often because of business. The property is fairly new, and very fresh all over. This is a conference / exhibition venue and that shows. Sometimes it is flooded with big groups, and the hotel restaurant is more geared towards catering for 200 rather than 2.
The decor is designed by a Swedish architect and it shows. Simple, clean yet at places bold lines. Room types differ a bit, but all very functional, nice and fresh forest views with emphasis on practicality. Good quality wireless included, and they seem to do a good spa. However, their sauna is a joke (not warm and aimed at people reading newspapers and books = not a sauna) and the steam room often not working.
As mentioned, the hotel restaurant is focus on quantity, and not always on being special. There are quite a few very good local places available. Ask reception, but be prepared for a a taxi drive as nothing is around this property.
Sleep quality is really good, and everything seems to be well serviced.
This venue is good for a get-away-weekend, but not handy at all for visiting central Brussels. During summer the grounds are a big plus with all the forest around.
