We had our holiday cancelled due to Goldtrail going under so booked this 3 days before we went and wasn't sure what to expect.
Flew in early hours of the morning and nothing was opened apart from the bar next door which an is excellent family run bar where drinks are cheap cocktails 2 euro's but traditional where Mikos and his brother Emmanuel get up on stage and play the guitar normally followed by granddad who will dance the night away, the bar closed when the last person left and was really great.
The hotel the rooms were lovely and clean and communal area kept spotless, food was ok lots of variety. situated in a lovely quiet part of Crete not clubby at all. The beach was fantastic with many bars and a local market on route to the hotel where shopping is a girls dream for the fake handbag, sunglasses and clothes good prices but be warned that the shop owner dish out shots of Raki if you buy.
Bar staff at the hotel were excellent and staff were polite and friendly and knew us all by name. One small point agreed with comment on all inclusive and the drink situation. Pedro (barman) only one drink per person was stupid as que's we long as it got to 11pm. They run out of glasses although i do think that plastic glasses should had been provide around the pool area also were sun beds.
Entertainment was good and Mario made our holiday although limited and if the owners listened to Mario's advise and spent some money it could improve but was good overall.
The staff work very hard for little money (2 euro's and hour) and we gave them all our toiletries at the end of the holiday of which they did appreciate.
We were two girls in our late thirties and have to say it was an amazing holiday one we will never forget would recommend this hotel very highly.
