We just came back from this family run resort where we stayed from the 6 to the 14 of September for our holidays. We are experienced travellers and have stayed in and eaten in many top and celebrity chefs’ restaurants in England and other European and South American countries so we are used to high standards. In this occasion we were looking for a relaxing holiday in a hot weather country. To our surprise….. we found more… than we expected .

We were on all inclusive . We were able to see fresh food being delivered to the hotel from the balcony of our Villa. The food was excellent and from local suppliers with lots of varieties of local fresh fruits and vegetables. At meals time the Hotel chef either wood oven- bake, charcoal grill or spit roast pork , beef, lamb ,chicken or cooked excellent Greek or Italian homemade food . You could eat us much as you liked and the menu was well balanced with a great variety during the week.
Our compliments to the chef for his fantastic buffet …not to mentioned his smiling face and helpful aptitude

BLUE AEGEAN is an excellent apartment hotel , well managed , with excellent food , installations and location . It offers value for money for an excellent sunny holiday where you can enjoy visiting places like Santorini and Koss or just enjoying the beach which is about two minutes from the hotel.

To Manolis, his children and all the hotel staff thank you very much for making our stay so pleasant . We certainly will be back next year.

Well, what can i say about the Blue Aegean that has not been already said in the last 2 reviews....nothing !!, you guys have saved me a long review ! lol....have to agree on everything that the last 2 said, we have stayed in Crete many times and have to stay that overall this has been our favourite accomodation, we are a couple with a five years old daughter and although we never let her out of our sight i must say we felt really comfortable her exploring the complex, the apartment was spotless, cleaners came everyday apart from Sunday......10 out of 10 !! and we will be returning !

Cannot recommend this complex highly enough. We had a two-bedroom apartment for 2 weeks - it was spacious, comfortable and was kept spotlessly clean. We found the facilities excellent, bar staff were friendly and made us feel at home (glad we were'nt at home though, as there were storms while in Gouves we did not see a cloud and temperatures did not fall below 30 degrees for the 2 weeks!!) Fabulous location. Worrying trend of lots of 'all-inclusive', which was available but we didn't do, affecting the trade in local restaurants of which there are many good ones - our favourites were George's, Sporpio's and Mylos which are all within 5 minutes walk. Lots of people said they had stayed there many times - always a good sign - and so would we!!

Clean and smart.
Safe environment for young children.
Fantastic food, pizza night is a must and pork on the spit was heaven.
Great location, two good beaches only yards away, top restaurants and bars in easy walking distance.Two good supermarkets.
More sunbeds than there are guests, so no need to get up at dawn to secure them.
There was entertainment on a number of nights.
Overall I would recommend the Blue Aegean to families with children of all ages and couples looking for a nice relaxing holiday
We've now been back just over a week and we are already planning to go back next year.
