We enjoyed our stay at the Salford Hall Hotel, but there were a few negatives we ddn't have any hot water for a wash or shower. As the restaurant was full we were given a table in the conservatory. There was no heatng in there and it was very cold. When we empted the sink of cold water it came bubbling up through the shower drain. TThat said the staff were lovely the rooms were very clean and the food in the restaurant was very good. We would stay again but perhaps in Summer!

we stayed here on 4th Feb weather very bad and snowing, (not hotels fault) you would have thought the heating in the room would have been on though, we rang recption to tell them the room was like a fridge,they said someone would be over to check the room out. One hour later we went to reception to get a small heater (not much help) we watched the England v Scotland rugby in our coats. Room finally warm about 10pm only for the radiators to go off at 11pm until 8-30am back to the fridge as the small heater was not man enough to keep the room warm. all in all very poor room quality. Food Ok not all that, the service was OK and just that.. reception was poor, whilst paying my bill I had to ask the lady behind reception to look away whilst entering the PIN to be told " I see so many I wouldnt be able to remember yours" not good practice. This must be the only hotel in the country to allow smoking in the foyer, 3 people smoking, Disgusting.... this was abirthday celebration night for my wife, certainly one to forget thanks to best western salford hall..

we stayed here in January ,10 of us altogether,a bottle of bubbly was brought to our room on arrival ,it was not chilled so we decided not to drink it ,we all met in the bar at 6.30 but we had to ask for service ,our G n T's were warm so we had to look for someone to fetch ice .We were attending a 60th party so did not eat in the hotel but the menu looked FAB .Our rooms were comfortable and clean ,breakfast was hectic ,cold toast,no scrambled eggs for a while,juices were filled regularly but guests were waiting for eggs,the breakfast was very nice but the staff although polite did not seem to be organised at all ,a breakfast menu would have been nice ,as we were leaving the breakfast room we noticed that poached eggs were being served to 2 guests we were not given that choice .I think for the price bracket at this hotel things need to step up a bit .We however had a nice stay with our friends and would certainly recommend it to others cos I am sure they would have ironed out the blips by now .

We stayed here on the 27th and 28th January and had a room in the courtyard - lovely. Food, service and staff excellent. The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside and out and full of character.
