Stayed here for 4 nights in early Sept. Arrived in the early hours so was relieved to find 24 hours reception and the quiet bar still open. The staff were polite throughout. Really liked the character of the place - the curved corridors, the big room with a ceiling fan and the shutters over the windows. The slight downside to having character is that one of the chest of drawers was broken and couldn't be used but it wasn't a big deal for us as we were only there a short period of time. The bathroom could also have done with a spruce up and had seen better days but nothing major. The room was cleaned every day.
As this is a hotel rather than apartments there are no kitchen facilities in the room. This was fine for the 4 nights we were there but then we went over the other side of the island to apartments with a kitchen and really appreciated it by then so you might want to bear that in mind if you are there for a longer period. We were there on a room only basis so didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast at all but there are plenty of British owned bars doing English breakfast just at the top of the road. They also provided evening meals and entertainment (e.g. quizzes, karaoke etc) but we went into San Antonio each night so we didn't experience them.
The best feature of the hotel is its location - right on the beach. We had fantastic sea views and a choice of 3 different beaches within a couple of minutes’ walk. We loved it so much we didn't use the pool at all. It's a nice, 10 minute walk around the bay from the hotel to San Antonio - just far enough for it to be nice and quiet when you got back - we didn't hear any noise in or out of the hotel at all.
A really nice hotel with lovely views and location, just bear in mind the odd need for repair here and there and lack of kitchen facilities if staying for a longer period.
