When you get the keys and open the door, your 1st thought is 'OMG' - its hot, very basic and tired looking rooms- however, if you paid as little as we did (5 girls on a clubbing weekend) you also remember you will have more money for vodka + glitter. :-)
We stayed here June 2010. Couple of teething problems- we arrived at 1am, and wondered around the reception for 10mins- there was no -one on reception, in bar anywhere! so went next door to Marco Polo 1 to check in. One of the rooms didnt lock - would have been an issue if we didnt have 2 rooms, but we crammed all the suitcases in the one, and went out partying. We informed reception the next day, and they fixed the room door the following day. We decided to use the safe deposit boxes in Marco polo 1 - in MP2 some had had the doors broken off, and lack of reception/any staff is didn't look too safe!
I would recommend this hotel if you don't mind a very basic hotel - and don't pay alot for it. Most nights it was quiet (well we got in at 7am and back on the beach at 10am) so always plenty of hot water for a shower! The location is the huge plus point- you have Eden and es Paradis in the back garden (almost), and a 5 min walk to the beach with supermarkets on the way. Ideal!
