“Good value for money family holiday.”

When we first arrived at the hotel the coach dropped us on the main road next to a building site, my heart sank as this was the 1st faily holiday we had abroad. We had to walk down the hill and checked in with a very happy and helpful receponist. We walked thorugh the pool area to our room which was very clean and exactly what we were expecting considering this was a nice cheap holiday. Our apartment was above the bar which had live music everynight.
The sofa bed in our apartment we slept on was very uncofortable and broke during our stay! I was very disapointed to discover the kids club (provided through our travel agent) had left the week before! However we were able to visit a neighbouring hotel in the evening for the kids mini disco. The beach is on the doorsep to this hotel but very rocky and in my opion not suitable for children. Follow the coast for 10 minutes and there is a stunning little beach used by the locals with a bar which serves food.
There are plenty of bars, shops and supermarkets within waliking distance, most evenings we would visit The Mad Cow which was great value for money and a bouncy castle for little ones.
We hired a car for the day which was a reasonablec price and travelled to the waterpark, Evissa and Portonix at the very top of the island. (This was cheaper then doing an excursion.)
We enjoyed catching the boat aross to San Antioni and this was around 7euros per adult. We loved Cafe Mambo and this is the best place to see the famous Ibiza sunset, we sat on the beach and ordered drinks from the bar.
My children throughly enjoyed their holiday and we were able to relax around the pool knowing they were happy.
This is a great value for money holiday but not for those looking for a bit of luxury.

Room Tip: Our apartment was above the bar and could be quite noisey!

“A great place, lovely staff & fab beach location...”

Fab place for couples or families wanting to experience both sides of Ibiza. We went for my partners birthday, so wanted to go clubbing and visit the strip but also wanted a couple of days off inbetween by the pool without techno music and drunken groups stumbling through the hotel. We got exactly what we wanted, a lovely big apartment too. The owners are super friendly and helped us when we arrived much earlier than we'd planned.

Ask for a room facing the beach rather than the pool if you'd like a quiet place to rest your head - we didn't have issues with noise but if you're not up late then you might due to local entertainment in the neighbouring hotel.

All round, highly recommended for couples and families alike. Make sure you go for a walk around the area too!

I can tell you this you will not be disappointed! I booked this hotel with a travel agent and when i got home i went online to read the reviews....i started to worry as there was alot of bad reviews but there was some good ones. great pool area especially for the kids, only thing about the pool area is that there is limited sunbeds....i didnt get a sunbed once :( but it was ok because i was in the pool alot. Restaurant and food was good....a good english fry in the morning...not a great variety on the menu but we found something. on beach front which is excellent. the maids was not very pleasant and did not communicate well. rooms was basic but its a holiday, the only time ur in ur room is when you come in at night. i will definitely be back here next year! not sure about the evening entertainment as we went out at night. overall i had a fantastic time.

“Lovely Hotel - pleasant location”

A friend and i (both 20s) stayed in this hotel with the idea of having a quieter retreat from busy san antonio - where we would be going to most nights to party :) and we were not dissapointed. Lovely hotel, helpful reception and right on beach which was lovely. We took a 10 min or so water taxi (for about 2.50 euro each) into san antonio every night but was lovely to come back and enjoy our days somewhere a bit quieter. Loved the holiday :)

“Stayed twice and would return again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We have stayed at the Playa Bella Apartments twice now (June 2010, June 2011) and despite reading the bad reviews beforehand, found the resort absolutely brilliant!

The reception staff are absolutely brilliant and do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one. A couple of the staff members on the reception desk are English, and therefore there were no problems, as we don't speak Spanish.

Safety deposit boxes are available, and price is reasonable, you get something like 5 Euro back at the end of your stay. Prices for the boxes vary depending on length of your stay.

The pool is lovely and clean, and if staying with children, there is an excellent splash pool, which looks like great fun!

The room was clean and spacious - my only complaint on the June 2011 stay was the leaking air con unit, however reception were happy to investigate/sort.

The location is great, and can be a bit noisy, but there are bars and clubs around the hotel, so this has to be expected, but this never affected our nights sleep. The resort has 2 restaurants, which serve lovely food! There is plenty entertainment for children, and prize bingo in the evenings, which was great also!

Plenty bars/supermarkets/restaurants/souvenir shops running behind the hotel - so never short of anything to do and a very short distance to go.

If you want to get over to the busy San Antonio itself, you can walk a short distance to the end of the beach in front of the hotel and take a 5/10 minute water taxi, for 2.50 Euro each. This runs frequently until late. If you fancy a secluded beach for the day, you can get a water taxi to one of these also, and they are absolutely stunning - definitely worth a visit!

20/25 minutes walk will get you into San Antonio. On the way there is a fantastic beachside restaurant called Es Pueto, which I have reviewed separately, we went numerous times over both visits :).
