Out of season four colleagues and I went for a meeting on the island. The Hostal was recommended to us by our host who lives on the Island.
Miki was so service orientated, we checked in to super clean rooms , very well appointed and decorated, no fuss. Allowed to keep our luggage in one of the rooms until we left later the next day after check out time. No fuss no bother, nothing was too much trouble.
Dining and bar was out of service due to winter renovations whch look as though they will enhance the place. Miki so apologetic but always recommending where we could go.
Cant give it the excellent rating due to the no food etc but my next stay will definitely be there.

fantastic place with a spanish welcome from Mickey and his team. spanish hospitality at spanish price. swimming pool,wifi, computer at bar, excellent food. (ask for his recommends, you will not be disappointed): Hostal Marino (and its sister hostel montana round the corner) are in the quiet back streets away from the madness that is San An but its close enough to walk to and well located from cafe del mar etc.
for someone like me who loves the do it all yourself holiday this place was the perfect find. came for 3 nights and stayed for 7 to use as base to look around the island.

we stayed at hostal marino 28th aug to 4th sept 2011. booked 2rooms for 2couples. from the minute we arrived the owner micky greeted us with a fantastic smile and hospitable welcome. we only had to wait a little while for our rooms to be ready. we ate in the bar and were given a drink on the house. the food was gorgeous and very cheap from breakfast to lunch to dinner. the staff were so courteous and friendly and spoke excellent english. rooms were cleaned everyday fresh towels and linen. the hotels location was spot on only 10mins from the bus station and just minutes from the night life all bars and restaurants but yet enough away to get a good nyts sleep. the 4 of us would thoroughly recommend this hotel to micky and staff thank you all so much for a fab week in hostal marino !!!!

Lovely place, friendly, helpful owners, everything you need in a central location. Returning to it's sister hotel down the road this year - can't wait....
