“Fantastic Value for money 5 + star”

I went to this hotel in September 2011 with my husband and 3 year old son and never thought to write a review until coming back from a recent holiday and we just compared everything with this hotel we went with Ola Holidays who I would also reccommend £500 for the week all incluisve for 3 of us inc flights! What can I say its amazing choice of food fantastic and you can eat pretty much all day. Drinks very free flowing no scrimping here!! Entertainment fantastic something different evry night . If you stay at this hotel you really never need to leave everything is in the hotel!! Also it is so nice to see a hotel that isnt a high rise its traditional spanish charm sets it apart for others we have never been on holiday anywere twice , but we are booking to go here again this year already top marks xxxx

Room Tip: As for new block rooms are quieter

“Well worth considering”

when you first get there you initial thought is GOD it's right on a motorway, which it is BUT once inside it is a surprising oasis the road noise outside disappears, the rooms are in a low rise 2 storey, 1 clustered around a large patio where the pools and outside bar is, the other around the tennis courts (quieter here) we went All Inclusive, the food was very good although there was a crush at meal times there was always tables if you looked. a short walk to the glitz of Banus, and about a mile to the pleasant working town of san pedro, in the past few years the area has grown with speed and south away from Banus therre are lots of newly finished villas and apartments, the beach 500-800 mts is a bit scruffy and rarely has many on it however it has a large restaurant specialising in paella right on the beach edge a delight (even IF you are AI) we paid a low rate and got excellent value for money, Oh the staff when we were there were very helpful and would go out of their way to make your stay good.

“October break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

We went in October for a five day break, a party of six adults. We'd seen the hotel on previous visits to the area and liked the typical Spanish look about it and where it was- near enough to Marbella and Puerto Banus but away from the hustle and bustle ( although it is on a busy road, but that doesn't matter once you're inside). What a gem of a find! It's clean, adequate facilities, the food acceptable and the staff helpful and friendly. Even if you're on AI, there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance if you want a change, and it's a pleasant walk down to the beach. It's not an upmarket hotel that some people may expect on that coastline, and is in a mainly residential area, but for a chilled out enjoyable break it's ideal. So much so four of us are going back in April, so fingers crossed the weather's kind to us.

Room Tip: Rooms by the smaller pool area, away from the bar/ square are quieter.

“Fantastic Holiday. I miss this place so much”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We visited Cortijo Blanco in June 2011. Me my husband and two boys age 10 and 6 accompanied by my mum and dad. The staff here are so very friendly. They are always very busy busy busy and can only assume that is why some reviewers have said they were un helpful. They are actually very helpful. The rooms were basic, the usual beds tv etc nice bathrooms. For the smokers ash trays are provided in the rooms. I'm not sure if you are allowed to smoke in the rooms. I didnt anyway as i have two young children but it was nice to go out onto the terrace of an evening and puff away in comfort with my bad habit. Food!!! i have to mention the food as no reviews i read really went into much detail well theres lots of variety as in theres lots to choose from. Breakfast you can have a full english breakfast which is lovely I must say the bacon is not quite like in England i.e its very streaky so theres as much rind as there is bacon i have found that a lot of european countries actually have their bacon like this so its not unusual everything else is fantastic. Theres also continental pastries i.e croissants etc. Lots of different breads to choose from, lovely tea and coffee and juices. Dinner and evening meal theres lots of deifferent meats and fish dishes pasta rice always salad and always plenty of lovely desserts and fruit, ice cream, sandwhich meats. Of course people will say it gets repetetive but lets remember we were there for 2 weeks with lots off different choices PER day. You will not go hungry here. Oh and not forgetting the snack bar which serves burgers, hot dogs etc. My kids absolutely loved it and met some other children there to play with it was brilliant. The have games running throughout the day not just for kids but also for adults which is a great way to meet people from all walks of life. Entertainment in the evening is fantastic. They start with mini disco for the kids but I didnt see one adult that did not enjoy this, then its BINGO. which is frankly a right laugh. In fact probably the highlight of everyones holiday, after bingo its either caberet, a magic show etc etc you name it they have it here. The beach nearby isnt really up to much really but the one in neighbouring peurto banus is good as is Peurto Banus. Here they have a market and shops and also posh shops such as Jimmy Choo, Gucci etc (not that i could afford to shop there) but my facebook photoes of me stood outside made me look good haha oh and they offer a free bus service to peurto banus which is cool. One thing about this place if your going all inclusive. I've heard that a lot of All Inclusive hotels water down their alcohol. NOT HERE they dont haha. One Last thing CLEANLINESS Every morning there are staff hosing the floors, all day every day there are staff cleaning rooms, dining rooms etc. YES there are a few flies but not loads as some people have said, and the staff were forever telling guests not to take food outside. I imagine for this reason. The amount of guests completely ignoring this (mostly English I'm ashamed to say) was unbelievable. That is probably why there are a few flies. Its okay if your taking it to your room but your not supposed to eat outside and really you just dont need to. We all had a fantastic time here and although i am the sort of person that likes to try new places etc I will definatly be returning here.

Room Tip: Occasionally there are the odd groups of friends that have had one too many and are a little bit lou...

“Great value for money”

Hotel is around 10 min walk from the beach, but in the quiet, no-traffic area part of the town, with couple of bars surrounding it. Has excellent facilities, several bars, pools, tennis court and lovely gardens. The food seemed as frozen fast food type some days, but there was always choice of different stuff, and plenty of fruits. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Hotel is divided in several sectors (Granada, Almeria, etc.). I don't recall which was the noisy...
