I did not actually stay in the hotel. I did however have dinner on the Saturday night. It was one of the nicest meals I have ever had. The service was great. We had a reservation for 9 and we where they only ones in the restaurant so they could not have been more attentive. I was not worried that the restaurant was so quiet because they had a large party booked for 11! The owner is also the chef and it was clear he has a passion for cooking.
The public area where immaculate and the hotel has a traditional Spanish look. Although I did not stay in the hotel I would expect that the rooms would be the same.A few of my family have also been to the hotel when visiting and went to theme nights in Posada del Rio. My mother went to a Greek night and a family friend went to a Mexican night and they both said it was fantastic. I have been visiting Alozaina for three years and this hotel is a credit to the village. There are many other lovely places to eat and drink in Alozaina and they are all very good value for money. However, Posada del Rio offers something a bit different to the traditional Spanish restaurants.
