“Nice beach hotel with good amenities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

Stayed here for just one night after 2 night stay in Cadiz. Had seen signs for hotel before and it all seemed ok on hotel website when I booked it but I was suprised how big & well situated the hotel was. Had wanted to stay at Fuerte but they have minimun nights stay. Allocated room on 3rd floor opposite the main part of the hotel.

Lift up to third floor which was useful with the cases, room was light & airy & well tastefully decorated for a Spanish beach resort, lots of pastel blue & yellow colors. Beds were fine, small fridge/minibar on the floor. Plenty of wardrobe space.

Bathroom was perfectly fine, clean & roomy, shower was a bit all over the place though but plenty of hot water. Soap dispensers were not great so bring your own shampoo & shower gel. Nice balcony facing the main hotel & beach which was lovely. Pool towels are provided only between 11-7 and changed every 3 days !!! Pool area was really long & deep in places s excellent for a few lengths. It was not especially busy on my stay but I guess in high summer it must be mobbed. It seemed to be popular with German tour groups as there were a few TUI buses on site at times. Small in hotel chapel on the grounds too as well as small gym & tennis courts.

Breakfast was included in rate & was kinda good but a bit low quality. Rolls were not crusty and seemed a day or 2 old, cheeses & meats were a bit low quality too. Fruits were great as were the pastries & cakes - lots of choice. Hot breakfast items were very good special mention to the hot stuffed tomatoes. Tea, coffee, juices & hot chocolate & churros it was all there.

it is part of a Spanish chain Husa so it was well maintained , there always seemed to be a handiman or cleaner around doing odd jobs which is good Paid 68 euro for the night betwen 2 which I think is excellent value for the location by the beach. Ate at Restaurant Francisco La Fontanilla on Conil beach itself which was fab.

“Nice quiet hotel”

If you want a hotel / resort that is absolutely free from drunken kids then this is the place to come. Possibly the best beach in Spain just outside the back door and friendly efficient service. It helps to speak a little Spanish and nearly all the other customers are German.

“Great location but food a total lottery of bad and average do not pay to eat here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. We went half board so therefore ate in the restaurant every night apart from one. The food was a complete lottery and on occasions it was good to average. However on many other occasions the meats that were served were under cooked to the point that they were serving raw meatballs as an example! I would not recommend that you pay to eat at this hotel and go self catering/room only as the trip was spoilt for us on the day before we were due to leave as we both ordered and paid for the chicken mayonaise sandwich from the bar for lunch. Having eaten it my Wife felt immediately sick and I did that same night. This developed into Samonella poisoning the consequences being stomach cramps, joint aches and extreme diarrhoea lasting for days. This ruined our trip back to the UK as it was very uncomfortable.
That said the pool is fantastic and it is in a great location. There was no entertainment of any sort (even regular music) so if you are looking for some fun this is not the place for you. If you want a really relaxing, quiet place to stay and are happy to find food elsewhere then I would recommend this hotel but only on these requirements.

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2010

My 15 year old son & myself spent 2 nights here at the beginning of June, having flown into Seville & hired a car. It was an easy drive down & we were checked in & by the pool at 1pm. The weather was wonderful.

The hotel is across a small road (I can't remember any cars on it though) from the long, wide stretch of sandy beach & the view from the terrace was amazing,

The pool area was lovely, the water a bit cold to start with but we soon got used to it. There were plenty of sunbeds available, could have done with a few more shades though. There is an adjoining terrace with a cafe bar which was very handy for a coffee or a beer. The sea was a bit warmer & the waves were great.

Plenty of areas to relax, & very peaceful. I think my son may have become bored with the place had we stayed a bit longer, there were no others of his age to chum up with, so he was stuck with me, but he was especially happy with the included breakfast, plenty of choice & open until 11 - most suited to a teenager & his lazy mother.

It is a pleasant 5 minute stroll along the sea front into Conils main restaurant area, with a wealth of tapas bars & restaurants and plenty of interesting shops to browse around - I did spot one Pizza restaurant, but not one Sunday Roast or Full English. It was a nice walk back & just past the hotel there is a park with a great bar, perfect for a night cap.

Lovely hotel, reception were helpful, as was the bar maid, but quite honestly I didn't really notice any staff as we ate out each night - the room was spotless & lovely powerful shower. It was excellent value for B&B, a prefect spot for a short break. I will definitely go back with my other half for a long weekend.

Book hotel on Go to spain.com alot cheaper than other websites. Had stayed in Husa Hotel before and this is what made me choose this one.
The hotel is just as the website suggested, lovely gardens, great views, near beach and town. teh sunset from the terrace is amazing!
We had a studio type room which was great has kitchen with cooker and fridge/freezer. The room was nicely decorated, with double bed (well two singles pushed togerther) the veranda was large with patio table and chairs. The pool area was lovely. Restaurant has a a good selcetion of food.

We visited a number of local towns, jerez, Cadiz, Vejer and Barbate. (even if your not horsey i would recommend the equestrian museum in jerez, FAB!!)
