We were staying at Beachtour for my Hen party, there were 6 people in our party and the room was a good size, although there was no view from our room. There didn't seem to be many people staying at the hotel, and didn't really see anyone around, it felt like we were travelling out of season, although it was July, the facilities were quite poor on site, there is no shop, and the resturant was shut most of the time, the snack bar was open in the days, but there seemed to be a lack of staff to man the bar and reception, the hotel is quite far from the town of Ericeira, but it is within walking distance ( takes about 25mins), the village is really beautiful, and the beaches are really nice. and there are some really nice resturants taxi's cost about 5 euros back to the hotel from the centre of Ericiera, the famous surfing beach is really close and a beautiful beach with bars, the staff were freindly and tried to sort out any trips that we wanted, one of my friend had a surfing lesson arranged by the hotel, the problem was it was supposed to be at 4.00, but one of the staff said it had changed to 6.00, so when we went to reception at 6.00, there was a misunderstanding, and it was actully booked for 4.00, but she still went and had a good time. there is a bus that takes you to Lisbon which takes about 1 hour 20 mins, and a bus that takes you to Sintra which takes about 40min, it is well worth visiting Sintra and going to the palace, there was plenty of things to do in Ericeira, I just wiah I'd had more time to spend there.

I'll start off by saying that ~I arrived in Ericiera late at night after a very long day travelling with my husband and 2 small children. I was looking forward to getting some sleep and the photos of beachtour looked really nice. nothing was to prepare me for what waws to happen next.... I checked in and was told that even though I had reserved 2 travel cots they only had one today so my little baby would have to sleep on the floor. the girl at recption said the manager had left those instructions and it wasn't anything to do with her.
When we arrived at the room it hadn't been cleaned and there was a terrible smell of smoke in the room. When my husband asked could we move they told us. WE ARE FULL it is not possible to move rooms> When I went down with my baby they RELUCTANTLY moved us.
I must also mention that I requisted a ground floor apartment as I have a toddler who loves to climb. After phone conversations with the manager and emails she said this was no problem to have a ground floor apartment. Howerv the apartment that they gave us was 2 stories up, highly dangersou. They really didn't seem to care.
Finally, the next day was my birthday and even though the manager said we didb't have to pay for our nightmare. She said that she had my credit card and might use it in the futuer. She went on to charge me. How unprofessional. I really hope that if you are going to Ericeira that you don't stay here. We actually ended up having a lovely time in the end and found some wonderful accomodation and some really helpful people. Be warned as a mother the beachtour isn't all they say it is!!!

We arrived to Ericeira very late on a Saturday evening. We asked a few people how to find the Hotel, but they couldn't help us. Ericeira is an old fisherman's village, but Beachtour is located not in the village centre, but just on the outskirts, still close to the ocean, and near the highway exit.
When we got to the Hotel there ws a problem with our reservation, and a crib was not included as we had requested, it was late and our experience was not the best one.
The Hotel was a great surprise. Very new, facilities were great, the staff very helpful and arranged everyting for us immediatly, including a crib, and breakfast for the next day.
Not a luxurious option, but a great choce near the beach and the ocean, bearing in mind it is not on the village centre of Albufeira.

Recently returned from Ericeira, Beachtour Apartments, excellent accomodation, very clean, very helpful staff, and close proximity to lovely beaches, but,....... an absolute necessity is a motor, two dual carriageways need to be crossed to get to the beaches, but well worth a visit.

A restaurant is situated at the base of the apartments, and offers good food (Pedra Alta), again staff excellent.

The nearby fishing village of Ericeira is well worth a visit, very quaint, old cobbled streets, beach, and original dinky houses , in excess of 100 years old, majority of which are very well maintained.
