We spent 3 days here during a weeklong road trip in Tuscany. It was definitely a highlight. Gorgeous scenery, lots of nooks and crannies to explore, and beautifully maintained hotel and grounds. The outdoor, heated pool was a treat for the kids in November. We stayed in a connecting suite and single room combination that easily accommodated the whole family with two lovely big bathrooms with standing showers (in the main manor house). We hiked in the vineyards around the hotel and enjoyed a glass of very good San Felice red with the piano player in the bar area. A great hot and cold buffet breakfast, but the dinner menu is overpriced and though the food is presented beautifully, the technique and ingredients do not live up to the visual promise. Better to eat in nearby Siena and have after dinner wine and cheese back at the hotel. The staff was discreet and friendly, and whoever is responsible for maintaining the gorgeous pathways and gardens does a beautiful job. Don't miss the herb garden tucked away.
