Stayed for 4 nights in September lovely place and hotel and room. Ground floor room - easy access to pool and amenities. Very clean and spacious rooms. Not near Lecce and a little remote if you planned on doing activities on foot. However excellant access to main roads for the extending regions. Bar snacks good for burgers etc and value for money. Two out of the four restuarants (I think four) were open. The Al a Carte was very expensive typical fancy hotel food with quality rather than a large portion and personally too fussy for me.
Wi Fi is not free and expensive - 14 euros per day. A week long pass was available however I did not take it up. However all in all no major complaints and enjoyed the stay and didnt play golf so cant comment on this side of the hotel.

Beach not very attractive but ok as seawater warm and clear.
Swimming pools very good. large and nice sunbeds.
breakfast 10 euro p.p. unless you go to bar next to Spa open at 9.a.m for coffee and
croissant. Lunch also good at this bar. Panninis and salads and also nice
to have evening pre dinner drink. very good service.
Did not use spa or golf.
Great to go to Lecce to wander around and have dinner and then come back to
the space and luxury of this hotel.
Lecce very special but a bit hairy to drive into the town. Try going first on a sunday
as quiet on the road. Also went to Otranto.
Hotel very well located as not far to drive to Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli.

Agreed this hotel is not in the best location to visit Lecce and the surrounding area without a car....but what a gem of a hotel at a fabulous price. Excellent, spacious, modern rooms, excellent breakfast included with far toooo many delicious pastries! well equipped gym, an indoor pool, but 2 huge outdoor pools, as a swimmer i was in my element!! The restaurant at the golf club was excellent, good all day snacks and evening dinner. Bewarned alot of Italians stay here, i was about the other English speaking guest but the reception staff all managed English and were soo helpful. Free coffee in the foyer, Doubletree cookies on demand!
The hotel shuttle goes into Lecce free twice a day which was adequate for me. If you have a car, i hired one on my last day then you have a great hotel, great location and freedom to explore the area. Don't miss the villages of Vanze, Acaia and Studda, tiny locals villages and true Puglia. All in all a great stay.

In August 2011, my husband and I spent 6 nights at this wonderful hotel. Since we are Hilton Honors Gold members, the hotel upgraded us to a suite with the largest balcony ever. You could have had a party on the balcony. Just lovely. The room was clean and very spacious. The staff at the desk were very pleasant and helpful. The golf course was much to my husband's liking and challenging. The large pool was very nice and there was another pool a little smaller. Both very clean and inviting. The large pool has a bar area for drinks and food. Prices reasonable too. Good location for exploring the Salento region of Puglia. Driving was not stressful and we saw many cities and towns. If in this area again, I would definitely return.
