Very nice staff in a very nice hotel. We had a pleasant two-nights week-end stay at Double Tree Acaya. It's a little bit complicated to drive to the hotel, but once you're on the road to the hotel, there are numerous signs along the road to drive you to the hotel. One other option, is to take the direction of Lecce tourism airport, drive along the runway to the end of the road (you drive in a beautiful plantation of olive trees), and at the end of the road, just turn right, on the Acaia road.
We were the only guests at the breakfast, plenty of cold choice. We didn't ask for eggs, as it was not on display, and we didn't want eggs anyway! I still wonder if there are more options when the hotel is more crowded. It looks like they use the small bar, and not the biger restaurant in winter for breakfast.
The waiter was very attentive and the capuccino was excellent!
The room was a superior King, very well furnished, had everything available suiting our needs. The floor is tiled, from the room to the bathroom, giving this countryside touvh to the hotel. The bed was a real King and very comfortable.
I guess I would like to come back in summer, but I guess the rates are also going to be much higher! (we paid 95 euros for the room for two, including breakfast) We didn't try the beach, as it was end of January, but we still spotted the coast on our way to Leuca! The region is fantastic!
As said in many other reviews, the hotel is outside of the town of Lecce, so go there only if you have a car.
