We stayed at the summery the second week of July for are honey moon and loved every minute of it. The owners are beyond lovely and nearly fell over backwards to help us when they found out it was are honey moon. The rooms are basic but super clean. The pool is surrounded by vines and is very well kept. I also have to say all the staff including the cleaning team were just beyond lovely. The breakfast and bar menu were fab fresh and inexpensive (makes a change for a hotel). We loved the main square the restraunts and all the staff it was peacful warm and not a British fry up in sight perfect. We were so happy with are trip we are going back for are 1st wedding anniversary. I highly reccomend it to newlyweds who like us just wanted to chill out in the sun and be well looked after fantastic. Counting down the days till we are back in July 2012 Jeremy and Nicole

We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at this hotel. We booked it based on the reviews on this site and we were not disappointed.This is a budget hotel but do not be put off by this. It is more than a basic hotel with the plus points being its location, cleanliness and the friendly staff from the owners through to the cleaning staff. We stayed in a triple room on the 4th floor with a sea view which was lovely. The fridge was a bonus and the air conditioning was a god send with the temperatures in the 40`s!. Breakfast is a simple buffet style and is best eaten on the cool patio under the vines. The pool was very good, clean and usually quiet. You could sunbathe there on sunbeds , or on the beach which is a walk through the gardens away, again this was always quiet.This beach is basic but the sea there is safe and gently shelved, you can swim out to sea for some distance or drift on your airbed with no problems.There is a childrens play area outside and a large bbq for use by the guests. The hotel has WiFi which is a bonus, a computer for use of the guests and a collection of novels to choose from. There were very few English people staying here during our stay which to be honest was a nice change and it is very relaxed and quiet. The hotel's location is very good with a good supermarket across the road. You are just on the edge of town, with the harbour and its seafront restaurants being a 2 minute walk away. The restaurants there are fine with none worthy of special mention, or you could try some of the smaller cafe type places away from the front which the locals use which offer better value for money.
All in all a very nice quiet hotel with excellent customer service from the staff which l have no hesitation in recommending and would return to without hesitation.Thankyou to everyone at the hotel.

Booked as a last minute trip to the Island, the hotel location is very good right on the sea front. the reception and staff were welcoming.

Breakfast pretty basic and a little disappointing. The Pool area was surrounded by trees giving natural shade and creating a very nice atmosphere, the downside of this is that the area could do with greater attention to the leaves around the pool. The Pool itself is clearly in need of a little TLC but is was clean and refreshing, and perhaps it was just needing some attention (Grouting edges & paint) over the winter.

The room was comfortable with efficient air conditioning, we were on the third floor and the views were good, the room size was however very compact and had a somewhat claustrophobic feel will the blinds were lifted (Electrically operated) and the doors opened. They did have fly screens on the doors which allowed fresh air without the flying insects.

Would return to the hotel if in the area despite the points outlined above.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks from the end of July.

Lixouri isn't the prettiest place on Kefalonia, but there's enough to keep you busy. We hired a car for a week and visited the 'must see' sights - Myrtos, Xi, Anti Samos, Fiskardo. Lovely.

The hotel is run by the most lovely
people. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room was small, but was cleaned every day, clean towels every day, beds changed every or every other day.

The hotel hosts a BBQ with live band - highly recommended -it's lots of fun, with lots of food and dancing.

I wish I was there now!
