I am 88 and travelled to Zittau with my grandson to revisit my past (I was a prisoner of war in Zittau from 1943 -1945) and to visit friends. We found the Haus am See excellent for our purpose and would certainly recommend it.
My room - and bed - were comfortable and I had a magnificent view from my bedroom window. We felt that the buffet breakfast was extremely good and we had two evening meals there with friends. The menu was varied - I was particularly plesed to find several vegetarian dishes on the menu - the service very good and the prices extremely reasonable.

We had a hired car for which there was plenty of parking space. I am not sure about the availability of public transport to - for instance, get into Zittau.
