I've stayed in this place in November 08. Overall, the experience was pretty good:
- Reasonably sized room
- Clean and tidy
- good bathroom
- good Breakfast
What I didn't like too much was the very reserved personell, the fact that even though free parking is advertised, the Hotel's parking lot didn't have any space for us but was occupied with a lot of cars of local businesses - probably they should watch out a bit, we had to take quite a walk, as parking in that area turns out to be difficult.
What really got me was reading the general business terms and the hotel guide. I've been to quite a lot of places, and I'm yet to witness another one where it's made that obvious that a guest is seen as a threat. You want a hair dryer? You'll get one at the reception. You want to check in early? Fine, just book the day before with us. You want the evening menu on the day you checked out for the guest price? Allright, book another night.
Even the bible (which they get for free) was stamped. The hangers in the wardrobe: Fixed, so you can't take them out.
I don't know what kind of bad experiences the keeper of this place had - but they must have been very bad.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay there - it was just the attitutude that didn't really give me the feeling of being welcome in this otherwise great place.
