We needed a hotel near Dieppe as we were travelling on the Newhaven - Dieppe crossing. We normally use the B&B Hotel chain as good clean cheap stopover but had a bad experience with B&B Dieppe on the outward leg so decided to go slightly up market on the return.
The chalet style hotel is more like a motel with each room having its own entrance. We were in room 11 which was more spacious and had much better beds than the B&B. We slept well, ate a hearty breakfast and set of the next day refreshed.
Campanile is famous for the excellent breakfast buffets and this was certainly no exception. Fresh bread, croissants and pastries, a toaster and fresh oranges with an electronic juice maker. As much fruit and yogurt as you want.
We had a slight problem of our own making when we realised that we had my wife's keys in our car, my wife was in Bordeaux and as Easter Monday was a holiday we could not go to a post office. The hotel staff were very helpful in organising return postage.
