Campanile Hotels are going through a redecoration process at the moment but it hadnt reached this one last week (Aug 10 and 11 2008). We stayed in the Bethune Campanile on the 9th and the improvements bring the chain out of the 90s really making a difference. That said this is a good clean hotel, we stayed two nights and had our room made up and fresh towels and tea/coffee materials on the second day. It is very close to the centre of Dieppe and as another reviewer said to the Auchan supermarket shopping mall and also a branch of Decathlon nearby too. the hotet restaruant is not bad but the basic "rapide" menu though adequate at just under 10 euros does not compare with what is on offer along the old harbour quayside for similar prices. So if you want a bit more value for money and a very wide choice don't do what we did on our first evening and eat at the hotel get down to the old town it is well worth it. The breakfast is a good value for adults wanting to charge the batteries for a long day but wasted on young teens who are happy with just a pain au chocolat from Auchan for substantially less than the 8 euros charged by the hotel.
