Please read and never stay at this hotel. I booked this hotel via late rooms on 18th July as I needed somewhere to stay in Mont Saint Michel. I arrived at the hotel at 9.45pm to find the whole place shut, all doors were locked, no one at reception, signs on the door saying the place shut at 9.00pm and when I phoned the phone just rang with no voicemail. I then had to find another hotel which was a nightmate at 10.30pm.
I then received 2 phone calls from the owner of the hotel at 11.30pm asking me why I had not showed up and advising that the reception shut at 6.00pm. The owener was terribly abusive and could not explain why he could call me at 11.30 but was not at the hotel at 9.45 when I arrived. I ended the call for him to call back again and continue to be abusive towards me. To top it all off he debited my account for the full amount and then cancelled the reservation with late rooms the following day.

This is the worst service I have ever received and I would like everyone to know so they dont ever book this hotel.

The manager charged us for the damaged wallpaper in the room ignoring the fact that it was damaged before we arrived .
He demanded 850$ , said that he will call the police if we won't pay immediately , and than charged our credit card that was given for confidency.

Very basic Logis de France hotel. Poky bathroom, noisy plumbing, tacky bedroom fittings, awful decor. No help from polite but unwelcoming manager - food might be great for all I know but when we came downstairs for dinner at 8.20, he coldly informed us that we'd missed it... it had been at 7 pm sharp (not mentioned on check-in). Quiet situation on edge of nondescript village but within ten minutes of Mt. St. Michel - the only thing I can think of to be positive about.
