Never having been to Croatia before we went with an open mind and chose the Island of Pag as our destination. We stayed at the Hotel Tony for 2 weeks, and right from the start when we were picked up from the airport by Dejan, (Tony's son) to the room with the balcony overlooking the sea, to the superb food every night for dinner, we couldn't have had a better time.
If fresh fish or calamari is your type of food then you couldn't better the restaurant. We even met the fishermen who were supplying us with dinner!
The hotel is 2* but the welcome from the family is definately in the 4* category. Try to visit outside the months of July and August, their peak season, so that you get the welcome from the Tony family and the visit we experienced.
We will be going back.
