“Clean hotel, friendly staff but one flaw”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2010

We spent two weeks on Brac in this hotel which is perfectly situated in Supertar (Brac). It is very clean and tidy, staff are always helpful. The food was ok, continental breakfast plently of tea and coffee and we enjoyed the sun, the beaches and the holiday overall was relaxing, quiet and with dramatic scenery exactly what we needed but there is one flaw in all this "woodlice" ! One room and only the one is overrun with the little blighters so you couldn't open the door for fresh air. They were breeding in the room behind the skirting boards and then trotting across the room at all times to escape to the open air. On asking for a change we had to suffer the room for a week, with the Manager and the Boss man saying "they won't hurt you".
Woodlice live in damp soil, bark and vegetation and they eat dead and decaying vegetation including bark, hence living in damp skirting boards in the room. We did get a change of room after one weeks stay. Fortunately that did not spoil the holiday at all the island is beautiful. We just used a lot of toilet paper picking up the little blighters and flushing them down the loo.
I would recommend this hotel, definitely, because by now the hotel should have repaired the skirting boards in this ground floor room and eradicated the problem.

“lovely hotel - recommend it”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week in August 2010. The hotel was helpful in answering email queries before we arrived and welcomed us with a drink and info about the area on arrival. It's about a 15 minute walk with luggage from the ferry drop-off point. The room was comfortable with a small balcony, and a very good shower in the en-suite. It was spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the breakfast, it didn't change each day but offered a good choice. The pool is small, with only 5 loungers, but is refreshing to cool down with a dip after being on the beach all day! Other guests seemed to be a mix of Italian, German, French and a few Brits. Lots of couples (we noticed it was quite gay-friendly). I wouldn't recommend the hotel for families with young kids, as nothing to entertain them, but for couples and families with older kids it's ideal. Close to town and the main beach, but far enough from the bars and kids rides at night, just really peaceful and quiet. The restaurants aren't cheap but they do serve huge portions of food, be aware you might not need those side dishes, we got caught out with this a few times! Overall I would recommend this to any couples wanting a quiet very relaxing holiday in a friendly, private, small hotel.

“All you would need in Supetar”

A warm welcome and a cool drink on arrival, compact and clean rooms, very friendly staff, most of whom speak English. Upper rooms at the rear get afternoon sun and look inland; at the front they are shady most of the day but overlook a palmtree garden and the street. The pool took seven front-crawl strokes to travel along, but the jacuzzi would accommodate six people. Breakfast has limited variety but fine quality and quantity, and even in July the breakfast room was never crowded; you can choose airconditioned intyerior or a warmer outdoor area.A pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, ten minutes walk from the harbour and very close to a shallow-water beach, popular with families. We would gladly revisit this hotel.

“Lovely little hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2010

This is a small hotel but it has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The owner and their staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It is situated a 5/10 minute walk from the centre of Supertar where there are several restaurants and ice cream/coffee bars. The rooms at the hotel are the cleanest in a hotel I have ever experienced and one of the cleaners,Deni, even gave us a small present on our departure. The rooms are small but have a small balcony with table and chairs. The AC is OK but not as effective as it could be. There is a lovely beach which is a few minutes wall away to the right of the hotel and if you go through the large hotel opposite and to the left, you will come to a large beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, shade from the trees and several bar/restaurants.
Villa Adriatica has a small pool and sunbathing area with shade. This is again immaculately clean. The breakfast is varied and I understand the food in the evening is good. The outside terrace at the front of the hotel was not open but I would think in the heart of the summer is will be a lovely place to have lunch and a drink.
Would I go back - Yes. Would I visit Brac again Yes, it's a lovely island and at the time of year we were there the wild flowers were amazing. You do need a car to explore though.
