We chose Casa Glebinias based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Believe everything you read. Hosts and owners Alberto and Maria Gracia set the standard for charm, care, attention and knowledge of the region. They answered emails promptly and provided clear directions with a map from the airport and city of Mendoza. The mature landscaping, which they designed and planted years ago, captures the best of the region with aromatic herbs and plants that had a calming effect from the moment we entered the driveway. Our cottage (Taxodium) was exactly as described and pictured: characterful, immaculately clean, quiet, with welcome air conditioning and super comfy mattresses. Breakfasts are quietly delivered on trays each morning with freshly squeezed orange juice, a great selection of fresh breads, media lunas, yogurt, the ubiquitous Argentine ham-and-cheese sandwich, and fresh-brewed coffee. (No Nescafe here!) They were in the process of finishing a small bar/cafe within the main building while we were there and should be finished soon. The pool is gorgeous. The large walled compound is in a suburban area of Chacras de Coria, about a 15-minute walk to a small market with an impressive selection of wine, cheese, and other goodies, and about 20-30 minutes to the small plaza, restaurants and cafes. We've stayed at supposedly boutique hotels in Mendoza before, but I'll always dream of going back to Casa Glebinias.
