We arrived to Postales hotel and were greeted by Raymunde who immediately made us feel comfortable and gave us some excellent recommendations for lunch and other beautiful vineyards in the area. All were good choices and we really enjoyed our afternoon. He really seemed to know the good vineyards and were more than willing to help make reservations for tours or lunches anywhere we went. We had rented a car the first day and so Raymunde drew us a very comprehensive map that made driving in the Argentinian countryside much easier. The only problem was that after our 5-6 course lunches and wine pairings every day we never were able to make it to our dinner reservations at night because we were still so full!
Either way, the hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated. We stayed in the suite which was perfect and we loved having our own private area. The bathroom was a good size and the water pressure was definitely very strong. Breakfast was very tasty - wide selection of pastries, fruits, cereal, cheese, ham and eggs made to order as well. I only wish that our trip could have lasted longer! The main square and other restaurants is only a short walk way into town in case you feel inclined to eat something perhaps a little lighter. I only wish that I got to stay here longer in this little patch of paradise. Although this is technically a hotel, it has more a bed and breakfast feel to it where you feel welcomed into someones home and they do their level best to take care of you.
