Would not stay here again! Our room was terribly run down and not even 100% clean (there was a dead bug smooshed on the shower wall, and we were missing a lampshade--clearly no attention to detail). The beds were not comfortable, and even though our room slept 6, there were no extra blankets or pillows for the pull-out bed. The furniture was cheap and uncomfortable, and the tiny kitchen was minimally functional. The beach is just a short walk away, but there are no chairs (you can however take a shuttle to a nearby beach with chairs). We spent one afternoon at the pool, but the loud music made relaxing difficult. There was also sand, and leaves, and hair floating in the pool. Not great. For a quick getaway, we made do, but I would not return and would certainly not recommend to anybody.

My friend use his timeshare points but when i get there the place is so nice very helpfull staff, clean rooms, everiting was so nice if i have to paid my stay i will. Very very nice and beatufull place

Virtually everything about our room was shabby and worn out....for an example the linens on the bed were so threadbare I could read my kindle thru the top sheet!! No mattress pad on the bed! Kitchen was a joke and appliances were from the '80's The baths were slopped together by people with no remodling skills and looked like they needed to be redone. The furniture was Salvation Army quality and likely came from there! People at the front desk were either very nice and helpful or were of no help at all. Resort stores, bars and restaurants were for the most part closed or so minimal as to be of no value. If you decide to stay here....go out and enjoy the local places...they are far better. We have stayed at nicer places in Guatemala with better amenities, better restaurants, better service. The overall resort was beautiful and was worth going to; Puerto Rico is great....but, skip Club cala de Palmas....

Arrived 10-1-11. This was a timeshare reservation. Looked at 3 units...1 near pool, 2 near but not on marina 1 was a 2 bedroom and also a 3 bedroom. First unit - mirror in bathroom missing, bare wood showing. So dark almost claustrophobic not just old, but also very dated. Other two units...stains on floor and ceilings. The most minimal of furnishings and extremely dated. Bathrooms - Ugh! Kitchens - Ugh! Went back after 3rd unit and asked if that was the best they had to offer. The very nice lady at front desk, asked what was wrong with the units? Asked if she had been in any of them? Contacted our timeshare company, RCI, and they could not assist in helping us find any other accomodations. It was dark out by this time. Fortunately, lady provided us with name of another resort in area. Went there for the night and it was fine. Shame on us for not checking in more detail regarding this resort! Shame on our timeshare company for offering this place as a comparartive swap for our very nice unit in Las Vegas and also for not helping us with accomodations! Beware visitors!
