This hotel when i went was only officially a 3 star but what an experience we had!
The only bad point i had was how long it took to get to the hotel. Over an Hour and cobbled stoney pitholed roads. The driver from hell...!!!!, but what we see on our way was how the locals lived. Shanty shacks for houses. Shops made out of tin sheets. Goats and horses in the road.
If the hotel had been closer i would not of seen that so im glad i did vomit on the coach as it made it all worth while. Lol.
The rooms were basic but that did not bother us as we onloy wished to get our heads down in it.
The rooms were large and cool. Clean, airy and bright. Balcony was not that large but large enough.
30 seconds from the beach where they have the daily stalls and markets on them.
The beach was stunning! Golden sands and palm trees. Just like the photos show they are.
Water ponds. Hidden pools round the back of the hotel. Seating santuary near the hidden pools at the back.
Outside bars one near the main reception and another near the ampitheatre at the back and another on the beach with the resturante and another at the back near the hidden pools.
Flamingo`s, peacocks, all types of differnet birds and small animals.
It was so so beautiful.
I have stayed in some 5 star rated hotels and this far outways the 5 star properties. Puely for the fact the staff is what wmade our holiday.
They new our names a s sson as we arrived in the resturants and bars. We only told them once and they remembered everytime without fail. The chefs were lovely they would see you coming and make sure your meal was ready for you as you approached them. The drinks were plentiful. Freindly atmosphere all rond but all management.
I would ove to go back to this hotel as we made loads of friends of whom we still keep in contact now with and this was back in Jan 2011.
Fantastic thats all i am going to say.
