After living in the area a few years ago and being somewhat of a regular, i decided to take my girlfriend here for dinner. Or tried to at least. We arrived just after 8pm, well within the 6-9 opening hours advertised.
When we came into the lounge bar, it was cold, and not terribly clean. We spoke to the barman, a young guy, if we could have a table for 2. He grimaced, looked at the clock and said "OK, don't say im not good to you." and left us to find our own seat. Before we had a chance to take our jackets off, he came back through to tell us that the Chef said that the kitchen was closed and we couldnt have any food.
To add insult to injury, he asked us, somewhat sarcastically, if we would like any drinks.
I was very disappointed, as we had travelled from Inverness especially, and feel let down by unfriendly and unwelcoming staff, and the feeling that neither the bar'man' or chef just did not care, or want to be there.
