“Nice and welcoming stay for anyone with Celiac Disease!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

On our roadtrip through GB, my boyfriend and I also headded up north to Scotland and so we came across Dalry were we had booked a night at Langside Farm. That was a really good choice!!! We were welcomed really nice and the room was fantastic. A huge bed and a luxerious bathroom (and the room of course as well). From our window we had an amazing sight and we really enjoyed the stay. For dinner we were recommended to drive to Largs and there we found the restaurant called "The Lounge" which was really good as well. I have Celiac disease and intolerances against cows milk, eggs, mustard, garlic etc and it is usually difficult for me to find a place which offers something I can eat but this restaurant was really nice. However, coming back to our stay at Langside Farm, the breakfast we were served in the morning was very delicious and perfect for me! I had everything I needed and even more, even with fress stawberries and raspberries. It was simply really good. I can only recommend this place and I think I will come back with my Mom this summer when we are on our trip trough Scotland!

“A wonderful and unforgettable place to celebrate my wife's birthday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2010

To celebrate my wife Dalry's 50th birthday, we came to the town that provided her name (her mother is of Scottish heritage). We arrived at Langside Farm amidst a blustery night of rain into incredible and unforgettable warmth. Elise had knee surgery that very day, but a family friend was there to help with luggage up to our amazing room, and Nick sat us down by fire with tea and incredible treats and then made us a wonderful dinner. We had one of the best sleeps of our lives in the four poster bed, and it was wonderful to wake up and see the green fields sprawl across our field of vision. Nick, Elise and Robert all visited with us in the morning (another great meal for breakfast) and their stories of the house, their lives (previously in university) and many other things (including the double locks on the whisky barrels and how the whisky maker and the revenue folks have to mutually unlock them at the same moment) made this just a great, absolutely perfect start to our journey. My wife's namesake town (or vice versa) is a wonderful little gem — even if with some major reconstruction going on downtown.

“Perfect Birthday Present”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2010

My boyfriend and I stayed at Langside Farm in July for my birthday after he surprised me with an overnight stay. Elise was very welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. We stayed in the Culzean bedroom that had a very comfortable four poster bed and a huge roll top bath!
I was also treated to an excellent meal at the nearby Braidwoods restaurant and a lovely touch was Elise driving us to the restaurant so we didn't have to get a taxi there.
To finish off the stay Elise made us a fantastic breakfast, which was the icing on the cake for a wonderful break. It was so good I am planning on buying a voucher for my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary. Highly recommended.

“Absolutely Outstanding B & B.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2010

My sister and I stayed here for three nights recently. We cannot recommend Langside Farm too highly . The owners are charming, the property beautiful, the breakfasts
exceptional and we were made most welcome from the outset.
The whole experience was impossible to fault - and highly enjoyable.

I adored Langside Farm. The position, the house, the comfort, the welcome, the feeling of the place, the breakfasts, the dinner, tea and scones on arrival. The owners, Nick and Elise, are lovely lovely people, their standard poodle, Cocoa, is Top Dog. I can't wait to stay there again and will, even for the slenderest of reasons. Bonus that the Michelin starred Braidwood restaurant is close by and Langside has a close relationship with the restaurant. I was there for two nights by myself while my husband and friends were competing (and winning) the Scottish Islands Three Peaks Race - bliss.
