“GREAT HOTEL WELL WORTH A VISIT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2010

We stayed at this hotel for one night and I wish it was longer. My wife and I had our grandson with us and had a great time. We had a meal in the hotel resturant and it wasnt cheap but was very good. The room was a family room and had plenty space and very comfy beds. It was a bit cold during the night as the heating went off. Breakfast was great, plenty to eat and fast friendly service. We will be back.

“utterly relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2010

My husband and I went away for a few days to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary.
1. The hotel was warm [no timer on the radiators].
2. The food was good [the desserts were delicious]
3. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful [nothing was a bother].
4. With a car the area is within reach of touristy places and quiet, quaint little seaside towns.
5. I have mobility problems and use a wheelchair so we had a ground floor room with a wet room and chair provided. It was in an extension of the hotel and was very private. Being on the ground floor there was not a view but the view from our table in the dining room more than made up for it.
6. The room was clean and nicely decorated.
7. The owner has collected a variety of gifts for sale, suitable for all ages, which was a lovely idea.
8. There was a lovely lounge with a log burning fire to relax in front of.
All in all we had a lovely relaxing break and would recommend it if you have a car.

“Wonderful Views from Diningroom & Mouth-Watering High Tea.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2010

This hotel is situated across from the beach and wonderful views of the gardens and sea beyond were afforded from our room and diningroom. Unfortunately there was a railway line between the beach and hotel so you could not access it directly - but still nice to look at. The high tea in the diningroom was the highlight of our stay with soup, toast and homemade scones. What spoiled this was the pre-packed commercial jam portions - surely this should be more in keeping with the high tea tradition?

“Really worthwhile”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2010

We had two nights here and cannot complement the staff enough. Very welcoming and paying attention to detail. The bath, however, was a nightmare, no handles to grip to get out. NOT GOOD AT ALL. Food very good, housekeeping excellent. Cleanliness spot on and the room was just fab. The Chef is very good and delivers what is asked of him. We will definitely go back. We would recommend this hotel.

“Outside Town next to nothing, captive audience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2010

We were booked into this hotel as part of a walking tour by the company. It was located way outside of town near/next to nothing else. Once you get here you are captive and not able to find any other food options unless you take the bus or drive back into town. Our room was at the furthest end of the hotel, it was dated decor. The bathroom was trying to be modern, but looked cheaply done. I had a hard time getting the water hot enough for a shower after my husband took one. The room did have a balcony and the breakfast was good. I was sick so my dinner wasn't that appealing, but my husband ate his with gusto.
