We ventured down to Cawsand for a wedding and I am extremely pleased to say that we had the opportunity to stay at Coombe House. We stayed in one of the rooms with the ensuite and everything about it was perfect. From the crisp clean bedding to the powerful shower and last but definitely the most important...the room had hot chocolate! YES!

The room was very reasonable in price especially when you take into account the breakfast. Most bed and breakfasts provide an average sized breakfast but the 'Coombe House double breakfast' was enough to fill even my other half! I would also like to add that I now feel as though my lungs are filled with the fresh country/sea air :) .

My husband and I have just come back from a 3 night break at this B&B. I can only confirm the comments made by other people who have stayed there. The breakfasts are very good with plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. We stayed in the Edgcumbe Room which was en suite, a good size and had a lovely view down towards the sea at Cawsand Bay. Jen, the proprietor, was very welcoming and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is a large front garden which is lovely to sit in and it is only a five minute walk to the villages and various pubs for meals. We hope to return for a Spring break next year.

My partner and I stayed here four 4 nights to attend a wedding at Polhawn Fort. Jen the proprietor is a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the Picklecombe room, which was spacious with an en-suite bathroom and spotlessly clean. The gardens of the house are kept very well and there is a stunning view of the sea from the front garden.
Breakfast was great and she asked me before our stay of any dietary requirements, so a veggie breakfast was provided for my partner. I had a full English breakfast 3 mornings and I asked for a bacon sandwich on the last day which was lovely. I cannot fault Coombe House or Jen at all, it was wonderful.
Also, Cawsand and Kingsand are beautiful and it really is a stunning part of England. Book the restaurants in the daytime as they get very full. We had fantastic meals at all the pubs we ate in. On the whole, we had a wonderful, memorable time.

Coombe House is in an ideal position with a lovely view down to the sea. Parking is quite restricted in Kingsand and Cawsand, so the off road parking at the Guest House is very helpful. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent. This is one of the very best B&B's we have ever stayed in. Doug and Maggie Hawkey.
